Yeah, it's definitely a "reach out and touch someone" lens - but a 28-300 on a crop sensor would be... [carry the 2]... 42-450 - THAT'S some reach! I obviously find it fascinating to compare the 2 cameras, apples vs oranges and all that... LOL. Thanks for watching!
@@RoadReality - Ya. You can see the difference. Besides the Canon color, you can see the sharpness in the focal drop-off Thay the crop sensors just don't get.
@@DeweyRides Yeah, it's a real shame... I think you have to buy primes for crop sensors in order to get real nice bokeh. The Canon... just does it. I should get a medium format camera next :D Hasselblad, are you listening? ;)
AI came up with THIS response: "Yeah, it's kind of a gamble - but the real reward is getting out there and having a good time on the bike! :D" But mine is THIS: You're welcome, and congrats on the watch hours! Getting the revenue? That's a whole different ball of wax! Good luck :D
You sure took some great dam pictures! 😂 We had zero color in Missouri due to severe drought, so it’s nice to see all the color in the trees. Hope you have a wonderful weekend and stop playing in traffic! 🤭
Thanks! I only put the best dam pictures in the video :D This was filmed during a drought here... but not severe. Thanks for the kind words - I promise not to play in traffic this weekend - it'll be too cold to ride anyway :D
@@jentill1034 Thanks! Merry Christmas to you & yours as well! PS: Since you're new here, I'll just share that there's a bit of a delay on the channel. Usually 30-45 days from filming to publishing... oops. Been that way for years, it just happens.
You used to read mail from that dam if I am correct, but I don't believe the gazebo was there then. ... more to watch. Yeah, you would not want to drop the cameras off of the dam.
@RoadReality I thought it looked familiar. Yeah you drop the cameras the wife may not let you get another... yes she would it keeps your out the house 😆 🤣
Wait, is that what fences are for? I have been using them wrong my whole life. Always figured they are public sporting goods. / 17:40 I wonder if you shot in raw mode, could you bring back the bike details more, increase the brightness of the bike a bit, photoshop the cars out. That could be a christmas card right there.
Yeah, to stop people or handle stolen goods... either way :D Raw would be easier if I had Photoshop... but I don't, so I don't. But, if I did, and I did, then I COULD do the things you're talking about. I'm just not there yet. Merry Christmas, my friend!
@@theodorstravels Yeah, that's what I use... or used, for thumbnails. But I never truly got the hang of it. I can do the image manipulation in Resolve if I want... but that's a lot of added work, LOL.
@@RoadReality I don't know, if working on raw files is that much work, if you're really looking for that good picture. Adjust the highlights, the shadows, maybe just a tiny bit of contrast and saturation. If you do anything more, the picture won't look natural anyway. Also most cameras do the raw+jpg shooting too. So you can still stick to the cameras result for majority of pictures and touch the ones you really want.
Be careful John. All the dramatic music and clicky sounds, somebody might think your a professional. Not me of course, but somebody might. Just to answer a question from you, Do you over think rididn? I say, not as much as you do. Good shots, all the color is gone here. All the leaves are on the ground and gray & brown.
I'm always careful! Don't mistake me for a pro - I don't think anyone does :D Yeah, I overthink riding :( Bummer, too. BUT, luckily this video was recorded a couple of months ago... it's the same here, dreary, gloomy, and rainy today :( Thanks for watching!
That's a big zoom. I have one for my Nikon SLR like that. It's a 28-300 on a crop sensor. It has some big reach.

That intro with the music - nice touch.
Thanks, man!
Lot of good shots there. The dam is pretty cool. 🤘
Thanks, man! I agree...it's a neat spot.
Thanks for the shout out!! I reached the watch hours, not to figure out if I will actually get any of the ad revenue…..

Thanks, Dave! Just having a blast with the new camera gear :D

Hey John, all the best for the holiday season and for the upcoming year. cheers Dave

My friend, it's a good day! Thank you for asking :D I hope your day is going well!
Awesome pics I loved my telephoto lens plus a doubler the lens. Great video
Thanks! Telephoto is a whole different game than regular zooms or primes, isn't it?
