In my book,Brad Delp will always be the best, most tallented rock singer that ever stood behind a microphone,he set the standard when Boston's first album came out in the sevendees,no one in the music world could believe his vocal range, even till his last days that voice was still strong, there was only one Brad Delp, there will never be another,we we're blessed that GOD blessed him with the tallented he had in his vocals and as a kind person, his music will live on,he left a mark that can never be wiped away,,Thank you Brad,I hope your singing with peace finally where ever you may be.
As much as Brad never wanted that sort of fame, it's a travesty that he is not every bit as much known as Freddie Mercury. He had just as much range, and with a more pleasing, pure tonal quality. He just didn't cavort around shirtless and the other aspects of showmanship that, I guess, is what vaulted Mercury over him in terms of being a household name.
what i love about this song - one of many things i love - is how the chorus has two parts. there's the "hollyaaann", then that wonderful little riff becomes part of the chorus, then the 2nd chorus, so to speak. i always love it when a band challenges song structure like that.
Nobody...NOBODY, will ever sing this like Brad. Not even close. He was a good friend of mine and would change it up and sing "Lizzyann" to me. Even being a goof ball, he made it sound AMAZING!! So glad someone caught this on video and posted it. Just not fond of Fran screeching it... Brad didn't need the help with the high notes. He had that shit handled!! SMH
It's hard to believe sometimes that a man who suffered so much in the end could bring so much joy to many. I hope he at least found some peace knowing this.
john dehmer Brad was a friend of mine. Sad thing is, he knew this. He never understood it, though. This man had NO ego..None whatsoever. The way he saw it, he was just doing what he loved to do. God, I miss him so much! 💔💔💔
His music isn’t about joy, it’s so much more bittersweet, Delps singing and the music that was so often perfect for it, it doesn’t make me happy, if anything it makes me depressed in that strange addicting nostalgic way
Me. Too. Twice in the 90s at Great Woods just outside Foxborough, MA. Great to see Boston more or less in Boston!!! I've seen them with Dicarlo and he does a fine job. Bread Delp he is not but he sounds good. RIP Brad.
Boston is the original members...period. Brad Delp's voice is as amazing as the music the rest of the members have graced all of us with. RIP to one of the best....easily.
Kick myself in the ass for not seeing this amazing frontman perform. Saw Boston in 2015 and enjoyed but you know the feeling your hearing reverb? Brad, you are dearly missed!
This band was so damn good. Always wondered why they only put out so much music in their prime. They could have been like Zeppelin. Can't deny their talents. Great musicians.
Because Tom is more an engineer than a musician. His music is an excuse for him to play around and develop new technology. That and he was a perfectionist in the studio. The biggest issues though were Tom being tough to work with and Brad's personal problems at home. The band had trouble keeping those from screwing things up.
Allen Bass Wrong...There were legal issues with the record company that stopped them from being able to put out new material between Don't Look Back and Third Stage. Do your research!
BOSTON wasn't really much of a band. It was Tom's studio project. Band didn't even exist until the deal was signed, as far as I know. I love their music but they couldn't, or shouldn't, have been like Led Zeppelin. Whole other ball game.
@@henrikpersson4698 They would've been like the Stones or U2 if it weren't for Tom crashing his own spaceship 40 yrs. ago. Zeppelin hasn't been on tour since John Bonham died, but only have done shows here and there.

Brad Delp is undoubtedly the best vocalist I have heard in rock music knowing I that was only a teen when I heard him. Just look at the passion he exudes while singing 'More Than A Feeling' video.
God bless Brad. It's been years and yet it's still sad tragic really that he could not find the peace in his life to continue living. I hope God forgives him and he's spending eternity in the loving embrace of heaven's angels. What an incredible voice. I'm regretting hugely not seeing Boston with the one true voice of Boston. The unforgettable Brad Delp. God bless 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️😭😭😭
A fan favorite of mine. HollyAnn reminds me of college at Penn State in spring of 1987. We played this song on the local radio station at the time at Nittany. Got to see Boston in 1994 "Walk On" Tour, at Cynthia Woods Mitchel Pavillion in Woodlands, Tx. Brad was exceptional. This was when Boston was in their prime. Shultz did an amazing Organ Solo that shook the seats, since I had floor seats near the stage. Tom, played Keyboard while Brad sang "A man I'll never be", was so personal duet that made me cry. The first 30 minutes was all "Walk on" Album, took a small break, While Tom started guitar solo, and then they played 40 minutes of the first two albums, then Organ solo, then the finale: The WHOLE THIRD STAGE ALBUM in it's entire original format starting with Amanda to end of Album, like an all encompassing theme. small break, then HollyAnne, was the Encore. Best live show I have ever seen in my life! Brad sang all the high's on Hollyanne, is unforgettable. You left a mark Brad on my life, as I still dream about you at night.... RIP 2-3/4 hour concert!
AC DC guitarists in short pants are funny, here it is rather ridiculous. This is such a terrible composition, even a world class singer can't make anything breathtaking with. The thing is, Boston made two phenomenal records, and then compositions went down like a Stuka with its siren on. Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii .... How low can you go ? Third stage was one too many. RTZ's output was far more interesting than this ridiculous over the top melodrama on steroids without punch. The two first records are phenomenally good, the rest was.... well, if ever someone steals my Third Stage, I won't bother at all. I still have it, but frankly....
