I honestly can't remember what was played, or if anything was played upon entering my wedding reception. Of course, that was over 26 years ago and I had open heart surgery almost 8 years ago. My memory is shot! But... I DO remember our wedding night! Hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, Hot!
+David Lake Totally agree...ive loved every note Boston ever played & the whole concept of this album as the continuation to the first two is beyond comparison in Rock history
In 1983 my best man and I got up at 2:am and headed to Edwards Air Force Base to see Columbia land. We heard the sonic booms and then saw it appear as the Sun was rising. Due to the sun just coming up, all of the white on the Shuttle was orange. We then scedaddled to Cal State Northridge to get to our Thermodynamics class. We were late. The Professor, Dr. Sidney Schwartz called us on the carper and said he was glad we joined but asked why we were late. We told him we had just came back from seeing the Space Shuttle land. We instantly turned into heroes as he was one of the lead Engineers in designing the Space Shuttle Engines..... We totally hijacked the class for that day.Amazing technology and dedication from all involved in the Program.....

I absolutely love Cool The Engines by Boston. This song reminds me when my deceased husband and I were dating. We always had fun together . I love and miss you. Happy Birthday on the 26th of July. He would have been 50.
They are one of the all time best bands, and I'll always love there music, this is my wife's you tube I'm john she passed away more then a year ago but bostons love songs always makes me think of her, rock on my love Robyn Ann Weinrib where ever you are now I'll be there one day and then will be together again this time forever ♥.
I have been waiting for a video like this with this song. It fits so perfectly together. Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, THIS IS MUSIC. REAL MUSIC.
What a great time when this band was in the limelight. Great music to go cruising on a Saturday night. Got the window down finding out where the party is. We did it right.
My dad was the communications expert for NASA and when comms were having issues and he got called in to a discovery launch, that was the first time something I saw gave me chills head to toe. Mission control was magic to me.
Used to SHAKE OUR HOUSE playing the launch so damn loud Many many words of sympathy here for one of the most beautiful souls in rock history with a voice to match I want to add my voice to the chorus BOSTON FOREVER BRAD FOREVER
I used to play the launch solo (0:58) as hard as possible during my studying days in a frat house where anything was possible, nowadays I live in a quiet neighbourhood which restrains me significantly. Looking forward to move out and dust off and assemble the high end sound system I still have stored carefully. Boston is simply the best.
I was doing a lot of Coke back when this album came out. The more i heard this song i totally thought of my Coke abuse and thought that it was talking to me about slowing my "engine"(heart) down. I became drug free ever since. Thank you Boston!!

The Launch literally feels like it's taking you into space, even without a video like this. A mind-blowing piece of music, made even more sentimental because I first heard it just a few months after the Challenger accident.
I remember listening to "The Launch" through a Carver C-9 Sonic Hologram Generator and M1.0t amp into a set of Klipsch Forte III speakers. Just about shook the damned house off the foundation...
I remember when this dropped. Was just giddy with anticipation after so long without an album. And hearing this the first time was just incredible and worth the wait. From what I remember this song was written and recorded back in the day and had been relegated to a storage room somewhere on a deteriorating reel to reel and was almost lost to time so parts that wouldn't play had to be rewritten to complete the song. BRAVO!!
My late Father in Law was an Aerospace engineer. Was the type of guy that showed up at Stanford and took the entrance exam and smoked it. Attained a Masters Degree in Electronic Engineering.
I remember the first time I heard the first lick of Boston on the radio. Nobody warned me because nobody was really talking about them yet, and this sound was so new and unique and so well recorded. Instant hook, these guys. And then to find the entire album was good too. One of the best values in vinyl back in the day. I have been deeply entertained by this group ever since.

The part from 2:55-3:11...dam, I could watch that 100 times, and it would never get old. As Atlantis is cracking through the sound barrier with a blasting guitar, it gives the image of a guy with a mullet at the controls, hammering the throttle and screaming, "Let's see what this baby can do!!" 3:10 -"See ya!" Some people are just miserable and unhappy. That's the only way you could dislike this.
If you're from the old days, then you love Boston. What your listening to is pure rock and roll
By far one of my dad's favorite bands from his youth. I grew up listening to him rattle the house with boston. I still love this music.
Turn treasury cards on. Nuclear reserve army ss kemper.

RIP U.S. space program. It was an incredible run. Hats off to the NASA scientists, test pilots and astronauts of that era.
DO NOT FORGET THE ENGINEERS
Don't forget about the guys that worked at JPL like me !!! :)
And machinists...Poor people, they have tolerance problems. God bless 'em!

If this song had been released earlier, it would have been on the heavy metal movie soundtrack. It just fits.

Emphatic THUMBS DOWN to every person who separates this great piece of music as two separate songs on TH-cam. They should be ashamed!
How anyone can separate them is beyond my comprehension
