Most of the draftees were presented #23 sweaters signifying the draft year..not saying he won’t eventually wear 23 though…his number in the KHL is 39, but I don’t know if that was chosen or assigned by the club…

As a NHL player you have to live with media attention and watch your mouth anyway. Better to learn it sooner than later. Him dancing around the contract question was near perfect.
