    Very strong point. The work that goes into a wrap is mind boggling. It's also not the amount of time for a project but most importantly, the years of problem solving over your design years that make it worth charging accordingly. I've been doing it for 20 plus years and I always make it know to a client, if you think it's expensive to hire a professional, wait until you hire an amateur.

    I was about to go to sleep for the night and saw this video and ended up watching the whole thing 😅. Thanks for this awesome and very informative video! If you need to make more content. I remember seeing a TH-cam channel that would upload multiple videos. You could probably do the same. One would be in real time and the other would be a time-lapse + add on top these types of breakdowns and tutorials. Gives you content to upload through out the week. Just an idea. I wouldn't mind watching those type of videos while at work. 😄

    • @CurveWraps
      @CurveWraps  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Omg! Yes!! I love those tips! Thank you!
      I see some channels upload the entire video and then they’ll upload smaller clips as well. So, I’ll probably do the same! But I absolutely love your idea of uploading breakdowns/tutorials as one type of video and then a full timelapse as another! Brilliant.
      Thank you Enziuh!!

    Is it possible to this project using procreate?

  • @arandegoederen
    @arandegoederen 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Just noticed you were working in photoshop and in RGB! I thought it would have been in CMYK.
    With detailed artwork, can this be imported into illustrator with 600dpi?

    • @curvaceouswraps9027
      @curvaceouswraps9027 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Aran,
      Great observation! The choice between RGB and CMYK really hinges on the specifics of your printing setup. In our case, we're working with printers that specialize in vinyl and are designed to produce exceptionally vibrant colors, making RGB the preferred mode. These printers are well-equipped to handle the RGB spectrum effectively.
      Regarding importing artwork into Illustrator at 600dpi, while it's technically possible, it's worth considering the purpose behind it. Illustrator shines when handling vector graphics, which are typically resolution-independent. Photoshop, as its name suggests, is more suited for raster image editing. That's why dpi becomes more relevant there.
      For large format printing like wall graphics, billboards, or car wraps, a lower dpi like 72-125 is usually sufficient due to the viewing distance and the scale of the graphics. In essence, the smaller the physical size of the print, the higher the dpi you'd want. With larger prints, you can afford to go lower on the dpi. I hope this helps!

    • @arandegoederen
      @arandegoederen 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@curvaceouswraps9027 thanking you for your valued guidance.
      1. So for me, it comes down to what is the output & quality of printer which will need to be discussed at forefront of any project.
      2. I create a lot of comic style detailed poster art pieces using Procreate and or photoshop which would inherently be rasterised at 300dpi. I am worried about losing the quality of detail when scaled up to 'car' size.
      3. This has all been ALL very helpful ... thank you

    On my challenger I did quarter and bumper wraps mine is zombie themed I have TWD characters both real and comic and sides I have the parts of Day, Dawn, Land of the Dead and Return and some from both nights along with individual pictures on fender and my stripes. The boss at the graphic place that I used changed some of the comic to real he was afraid of the copy writing laws. So I got like 98% what I wanted its either yes or no they would they helped me with the computer part when I settled with my pictures. I did a full blood splatter wrap couple years ago to bad they didnt have this in the 80s. Thanks for showing how some of the computer time goes in this.
