  • VEHICLE TEMPLATES: FOR WRAPPING CARS (CREATE KICKASS TEMPLATES THAT MAKE YOU LOOK PROFESSIONAL) - PART 3 OF 3// Do you want to present your vehicle wrap designs to clients in a professional way? Amp up your custom car graphic skills and watch this Photoshop how-to-tutorial! I take you through the design template process from the ground up.
    In this tutorial, I teach you how to create a VERY realistic looking Lamborghini design for my celebrity client, Swizz Beatz (an American hip-hop recording artist and recording producer from New York City, New York).
    I'm going to show you my tips and tricks, the dos and don'ts on (1) how to look for high resolution car images on Google; (2) editing these images in Photoshop and making sure your measurements are to scale so that it represents the actual car; (3) how to add highlights and shadows so your car has depth; and (4) how to place your graphic design so that your work really STANDS OUT! In this case, I use Swizz Beatz Poison album's cover for the artwork.

    First off, great job on your first 3 videos! You did an amazing job demonstrating in detail what you did to accomplish what you were going after. I'm not a graphic designer, but I did take graphics back in high school and really enjoyed it. I do miss it. I watch premium auto styling and inshane designs just to watch and learn. They just show the wrapping process, but I always wondered how a design was created. Really excited to see what content you bring to your channel. I absolutely loved your design on the aventador you did for inshane designs. I was able to see it in person and it was mind blowing! By far my favorite car wrap still to this day! Keep up the good work and can't wait for more videos! 👍

      Travis Leiphart thank you so much Travis! I love both shops for their TH-cam content. Wrapsesh is amazing too if you haven't checked them out! I don't think there's much content for the design end of things, so I'd love to bring it to light and share what I know. I'll definitely bring the artwork aspect into it too because I have a lot of people requesting to see the process. I can't wait and again, thank you so much for your kind words!! It's awesome to know there's people that actually dig this lol!

    Great job on the series, I really enjoyed it. It's ok to be critical of yourself, just don't be over critical while your first starting the videos, as with anything, it will all start to feel natural and the nerves will go away. Side note, I would actually like to see how you enhance the bad wraps templates. I use once in a while, but that because I really didnt know how to do what you just showed us..lol.. Again great videos, look forward to more!

    • @CurveWraps
      @CurveWraps  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      ZWrapz thanks for the feedback! I'm working on the critical part haha! You're your own worse enemy sometimes, you know? As for the Bad Wrap templates, I gotta be careful of that too... I don't want to criticize them, because I do love their services! But I think if I used their templates and taught how to enhance them just a little - no harm done. Do you agree?

    Great tutorial, great to see your process broken down into the simple steps like this. I picked up a few tips for sure. One thing I've found and do a little differently is instead of using the pen tool to cut out backgrounds and such, I use the eraser and layer mask, I find it a little faster for me and an it's easy to add and subtract if I take off too much or not enough. Awesome Video's Keep it up!

    Let me begin by saying, great tutorial video! Very easy to follow and I love that you didn't skip steps in the process like where you select a tool from, etc. I'm curious how you send your files to the printer once you have separated any panels (say on a commercial van). for example, what resolution do you send it to the printer, do you leave at the 1:10 scale (I would think they'd prefer at !00% I know Signs365.com prefers print ready files), and do you usually send RGB files or convert to CMYK? Do you ever create wrap designs in Illustrator? If so how do you go about scaling to send to the printer that way? Thank you in advance for any assistance you could provide. Keep up the great tutorials and great designs!

    Great videos, learned a few things as well, thanks. Little trick I do when scaling to the wheelbase, instead of going back and forth, move one to your guide, and grab the crosshair in the middle to that mark, then scale the image, it should stay on that mark, so it's a bit easier to scale. Keep up the great work and thanks for the tips!

    Hi, iam curious to know how you when your design is done, approved by client, how do you prep all files for large format printing? Or do you just do designs leaving that to the wrapping company? And if I understand correctly you work in scale 1:10 at 720 ppi/dpi making it a 72 ppi/dpi at 1:1? Does not that just make it screen/display/web resolution and is that enough for the print files?

    • @CurveWraps
      @CurveWraps  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Richard! Sorry it took me a while to get back to you - I’ve been buried deep in work. But I love your questions!
      I do offer services for prepping files for printing. Sometimes the wrap shops prefer to do it themselves but I always make sure the client is aware I charge extra for these services because prepping is a job all on its own. I’m in the works of creating a new video for it!
      And yes! I do work 1:10 at 720 then make it 1:1 at 72 dpi. It really doesn’t matter. I understand some designers rather work in higher dpi but if you’re in a large shop printing constantly, you need to keep your file sizes as small as you can so that printer works faster. Plus, because vehicle wraps are such large prints, 72dpi works perfect. If you’re printing small things though, the higher the dpi - the clearer the image.
