You'll get there in the end! The success will be all the sweeter when it does appear! Maybe reach out to the community to ask for help watering your flowers to boost your chances of getting a blue rose!
I found some wonderfully helpful videos on YT when I started breeding five x five worked for me and I still use it after a few years of playing this game.
That's amazing! I'm so glad those grids worked for you! I tried them when I first started flower breeding, but I found they didn't work for me and it was easier to breed in pairs. Different methods work for differed people 😊

Ooh, that is an interesting one. Maybe try moving them to a slightly different spot on your island. I don't know if it will affect flowers the same way, but you can get dead growth spots on the island if you plant trees. The only other thing that I can think of is if you have planted them on sand (either the sand path or on the beach), they won't grow. So you will need to plant them on either the plain grass on the main part of your island, or on the dirt paths (either colour works fine for flowers).
I think this is a sign to finally start working on getting my flower-breeding garden squared away. 😅
I'm sure your flower breeding garden is perfect the way it is, but I hope there was something useful in your journey to get hybrids 😊
Blue roses and green mums seem the hardest.
Both are pretty hard to get but with perseverance they can be got with careful breeding 😊
I still have my very first blue rose on a spot near Raymond's house. Took me 6 months since I dont have Online.

Im new in this game, i plant red roses. And 3 day already and it not bloom at all🥲. Still at stem stage
