Pro tip: if you don't want to have to let it connect to your wifi just to use it as a basic TV, do the "store" set up option up front, not the "home" option. If you go the "home" route it demands access to your network just to use it at all.
I've bought 3 of these, a 50 for my grandmother's living room and 2 43s for my aunt's bedroom and my office. They're one of the best bang for your buck TVs.
Thank you for the kind comments! We do actually have an affiliate link at the top of our description, though it looks like it may be out of stock online at the moment!
As @highdefnews175 pointed out, we did publish our written review back in November and we're just getting the video review out now! Expect more reviews to be coming to this channel soon!
Back in the day tv reviews included tuner performance. Not everyone streams their local TV stations. It doesn't make sense when OTA has better image quality. I'd like to see sites like this include it in their reviews.
Question about the sound quality - I hear that most modern TVs do not have great sound, but I don't have a point of comperison to an older TV. I've got a 2012 Emerson 32" TV that I've finally gotten sick of. Can I reasonably expect that a modern TV will at least match the sound of a decade-old TV, or is there a reason I shouldn't assume that?

I'm so surprised there's no affiliate link to buy below! You guys deserve all the support possible! Def should put one in video description

@@RTINGSdotcom ah my bad, new I was probably just missing it 💚
Odd that you just uploaded while I was looking for this, thx
Perfect timing, all planned 😉
Great to see affordable TV's getting publicity!
I can't believe they do a 720p version. Wow it's a TV from 2005.
I don't feel bad about my TCL Q5 now lol. Wish I didn't get a bad panel
Gee this could have come handy back in black Friday 😢
They released the written review back in November.

Always OTA here
Now release an OLED model
Televisions and Monitors have the same screen sizes. What a strange time.
do they have a digital optical out port?
Yes, the Toslink SP-DIF optical out is mentioned and shown at 1:53
My favourite nerdy girl how are you. When are you coming back with one update big tv test 🎉
Why don't you guys review any Xiaomi tvs?
We only buy and test products available for purchase in the US!
Definitely a average Joe none tech type TV. Good enough for those buyers. 😊
Absolutely! Everyone has their own price ranges!
Are these similar to the Insignia and ONN brands of TVs? Havent found reviews of those bargain basement LEDs
Way better picture and performance than ONN I had one, the panel went out after 14 months of use
@@tims.3561 which panel went out? The ONN or the Roku?
Onn they are junk @@tonyyayo2115
The ONN
so which chinese company is producing this tv?
The Roku company is the one that produces the TV and it is an American company.
@@PeterParker-pr suresure
@@mat_j yaya
@@mat_j Sure sure is right, it's American.
@@thechampuru who produce panel?
This is just a q5 with roku
I wouldn't do that. Lower end TCL's have a lot of screen uniformity issues. I have this ROKU tv & it's a very good tv for the price.
Yep TCL uniformity is crap. Never had issues with Roku so I'm trashing another TCL and getting another Roku
