Suggestion for a cheeky build.. wall off your main, and then fly down your CC at about the time you would build a natural. So when scouted your opponent would think you are on two base but you are doing a 1 base all in from your natural...
I started doing this build when I saw Clem use it against you a little while back. Haven't been very successful with the execution though and the games go into a weird macro game after lol. Did the numbers and it takes 9 Marauders to one-shot a Stalker and 6 Marauders can two-shot a Stalker with a super battery.
To qualify as "cheese" it has to be a strategy that is only powerful if it comes out unexpected/undetected. So the best cheese, imo, is determined by what is least expected in the current meta. All cheese is bad, until it isn't.
Hello Harstem. I have been doing this build for a long time on ladder. Have some improvements: Make a rax at home first, get gas and then proxy the 2 rax for marauders. You can make one reaper and after that marines at home, get double marauder production at the proxy and on one gas you will have enough to get concussive shell as well. The barracks at home makes sure if you are scouted your opponent wont know whats going on for a while and also a reaper and some extra marines make this build a lot better at killing probes.
Friendly reminder to my fellow TH-cam enjoyers that a perfect example of negative micro is skipping the ad before Harstem's videos if you could just start the ad and do something else while it plays.
Famous Harstem quote "Ok Kev, lets play it slow, lets play it calm. Lets just do what we're best at! Well actually its not this. Im def not best at this!"
I clicked on the vid as usual, because obviously I watch most of what our Captain puts out. However as I was opening other videos to watch in other tabs, I spied the absolute artwork that is the video thumbnail. Big props, massively enjoyed it
I have a suggestion🤚after the first attack, build with one rax a reactor, to pump out marines to counter immortals or airborn units and with the still activ reactor, go for concussive shells, to slow down the stalkers, so they cant kite. Additional you could also build a factory on the inactive reactor. Not idea if this works or helps, just my thoughts!
I am not in Europe rn and I am missing some food, at example bread and cheese. Thank you captain for supplying me with the frequent delivery of cheeses which I desperately need!
0:55 Wait, so the plan is to close the gap between the opponents listed MMR and his true MMR which would mean the goal is to give him MMR by losing. I wonder if that phrasing was intentional 😅
I think a later marader push with more units would be better. Not sure if it's worth waiting for medivacs but maybe, and maybe +1 atk and stim. you can skip combat shield and one eng bay.
1:00 Imagine Serral smurfing on an account, loosing to a guy with 2k less MMR than you, what you gonna loose 100 pt ? Those marauders rush were perfect
Dear Harstem, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to you as a fan of your StarCraft II gameplay and in particular, your infamous "cannon rush" strategy. As you are known as the "cheesiest man alive," I believe that the cannon rush is an essential part of your gameplay that cannot be overlooked. Therefore, I am writing to kindly request that you return the cannon rush to your gameplay. I understand that some players may view this strategy as "unfair" or "cheap," but I believe that it is a legitimate part of the game and adds an exciting element of surprise to your matches. Your skill and creativity with the cannon rush have inspired many StarCraft II players, and I believe that it would be a shame to see it disappear from your gameplay entirely. I hope that you will consider this request and continue to showcase your cheesiest strategies for your fans to enjoy. Thank you for your time and dedication to the StarCraft II community.
@@ferallhamster970 adepts hardly take damage from marauders unlike stalkers, they have shade from start and cost less gas. And glaive research is faster than blink. But you need more of them, so probably need 3 gates asap
29:22 A good example how Protoss got too nerfed against Terran with that last big patch. Two batteries - one of them super-batteried and a cute marauder rush with no upgrades just walks right through it with no issues. Either Terran should be adjusted down a bit as well or (rather) Protoss needs a little raise: Stronger or faster super battery charging and being able to super charge multiple batteries at once (and compensatory for a shorter duration) and maybe even a pinch of stronger stalker on no upgrades and carrier on full upgrades. ^Thats just an idea. But generally speaking: Protoss kinda feels easily choked against Terran without waves of Chargelots.
I do think Marauder rush is legit op and should be nerfed, vs protoss. this is in my head, but terrans aren't smart enough to do it. Yes this includes high level terrans.
I said this before watching the 2 stompings. The one against the guy at +1000 MMR was close though. I thought he was wrong in game one when he said he couldn't fight into a super battery, and then does fight into it in game 3 and wins.
Your first marauder push was okay, but I thought it stayed too long, you said, hes building an immortal I should leave. Yeah you should. AS soon as you expanded. you could of held the lower ground a bit longer... and tug of war retreated... without taking so many losses. This would of allwoed you to get up your factory and starport asap for a medivac... and send any red marauders home to heal for free. Cyclone was good... you had a bit of bank for a bit, so a few turrets could of been built... THe bunker on teh high groudn was okay.. but if you knew he was omcing I think it was a double ramp, so build a couple bunkers lower ground and moving your barracsk to soak in damage could of really helped an allwos scvs ot repair easier wasitng shots... this way your cc probably owudln't of had to retreat. What you do all hinges on your push. DO you plan on sacrficing your army in totality for maybe a win, or after teh damage, retreat and play form being ahead and they forfiet later.. That point at 8 marauders.. and building the cc, I think retreating partially.. and then retreating more... so many marauders were red lined... that could of been sent back... which woudl of increased your marauder count by 4-6 depending on situations andhte barracks would of bene way harder ot push back.... If you plan on sacficing your army to mess them up in the early game, then during your death phase, building forward defence nodes for yoru macro is important, and you have lotsof tiem nad can have control and you know what would be coming, so there really is no risk, but you sounded a bit panic'd and floundered around. If you plan on retreating... you can pack up and head bakc to a better defensive positio nad maybe evne get a third, and get in some medivacs and more and take a better return push... and fly by to the natural. you still won.. but... you lost ground by doing some silly thigns and then gained ground, form some mistakes of your enemy.. could they havecome back.. meh.. marauders are so poewrful against protoss and protoss doesn't really have an answer against bioball... since Collusus can't exploit cliff walking on most maps... its makes tehir girafe mostly useless except for vision... How maps are designed and severly impact a units playability.... to stop marauders and bio balls.. The intended purpose of the colossus is anti biological.. .but it to good of an advantage to zerg... Colossus. Various balances for logical reasons for protoss. Colossus can cliff walk and hsould be immune to any slow effects, like fungal or ocncussive shells, Infact concussive shells should only effect biological units in slowing them down. Since that makes sense. It gets bonus damage against bio units.. but it already does up to 28 dps on light units... 18 on others... It gets a range bonus, the higher it is on a layer field. Meaning... most games are 3 layers. bottom mid and top. For each layer which is a calcualted unit of hieght you get +1 range... to a max range of 13. Max has ot be made becasue some maps have massive hills or many more layers. This would make the unit better towards its lore and slow down the bio ball... If its going to be armored, marauders coutner its counter.. which is why protoss struggles against terran imo. Marrauders counter.. most of the protoss army... so either they need to be immune.. to slow.. or have extended range or lose armoured status... who knows. It was a good rush.
That last game you could of had about 8 more tanks to float around zero... not entirely sure on yoru choices, but... you seem to be lacking a reminder system wit hyou... You can shift use abiltiy in a command nad it pings on teh map so yo ucan see... I mean man.. wth. lol
That game against Strange was one of the most exciting games ever.
marauder - my favorite!

But if you don’t fully pump marauders I don’t think you have enough to shoot through overcharge battery heal like in that last game
wouldn't that be too late
@@vov9022 probably it would get shut down by an immortal standing next to a battery
Bro that is a completely different build, the whole point of proxy'ing 2rax for marauders is that they hit much sooner with more numbers
Lol.
That last one was especially disgusting. Some S-tier stinky foot cheese right there. Loved it. You bring such joy to my life, captain cheese-man.

superbattery barely matters for frontal engagements in the late game, mostly an early-game + harass defense I think

This really won’t work if he pulls worker immediately and surround your marauders. Terran needs to pull worker and all in with this build.
