I had a lot of problems with reconnecting the ribbon cables to my keyboard and my power button. So, that led to some difficulty in troubleshooting what was going on with my laptop. However, I persisted and overcame the issues.

@@ItsBinhRepaired Could you look into a video on disassembling the upper half of the laptop and how to reassemble because recently i lost a punch of screws to the upper half and now there strange metal parts are sticking out the side and I'm just totally lost please consider thank you.
Great, helpfull video. Unfortunatelly when I trying to turn on the power button there is no signal of life just start flashing. 3 red colour flash and 5 blue after on alien logo. Any idea?
@@ItsBinhRepaired not really have a idea how to do that becouse my ram are soldered into the mainboard. I haven't touched them, so they're definitely not mechanically damaged. I was super carefully with everthing as well. I may be using some screws in a different place if that could be the reason. Error light code says is power rail failure.
Howdy! I can probably figure it out via a quick google, but just in case I can't, what are the thermal pads made out of? Mine kind of crumbled o.O I'm not super confident that it's recoverable if it got hot enough to dry them out
@spookarinox0 it is made out of thermal pad material lol I'm not sure. They're all made of different stuff. You don't need to use the same type. Just scrape the old stuff off and use isopropyl alcohol to clean it up.
@Yoctowngoods did you really just ask if you could replace the fans without taking them out? I don't understand. The only way you can do that is by replacing the entire heatsink with fans already attached.

Just curious I own an alienware M17R4 I've not opened up the back panel just curious if you know just wear in the laptop inner core resides the BIOS backup battery I may need to change mine not sure where it's buried at if you could point it out in a video if it's that simple thank you

I tried unscrewing the tron bar the other day but the screw was to tight i ended up pretty much ruining the head, how would you recommend i go on about that? I disassembled my old alienware 18 a few times without issues, and given that with this one you don't even need to remove the screen to get to the heatsink like on the 18 it should be easier but im struggling so much with it lol
Hello just wondering if you know the model number for the speaker mine seem to be broken as it doesn’t get sound in windows saying no speaker are connected reguardless of installing drivers
@@ItsBinhRepaired yeah I was thinking the same thing and the battery is going out, however I’m going to just send it to Dell and see what they say, the hardware warranty is expired but I’m hoping to get a replacement.

Any trouble shooting tips for laptop that isn’t turning but the power button flashes?
Might be RAM or bad charger, charge port, motherboard, dead battery.
Can you replace the fans without detaching them from the heat sink? I have an m17 r5 there's literally no disassembly guide anywhere online
