@@jamessteward9908 No, It's healthier for batteries to be kept between 40 to 80% charged. But for a brand new battery, fully charge it the first time. Newer devices are now including a function to limit charge to 80% to preserve battery life in the long run. It's not a requirement since most people will have the charger connected all the time, but still good to know. Definitely avoid discharging batteries to 0%
Will this work for a newer model 17 r4? I have one with a 3080 gpu. CPU fan went out and I have a replacement, wondering if this video is a good guide for it :D
Thank you I had used your video to do my fan replacement :) I’m now back to watch this one so I can repaste my cpu lol, its throttling like there is noooo tomorrow
You should have given the fans a thorough clean.
You can see there was still lots of dust and fluff in the fans.
Why oh why do they make it so hard to clean the fans! It's like having to take the engine out of the car to change the oil.
That was very professional, I am afraid to do all that tbh.
I once upgraded my old laptop and ended up ruining the keyboard 💀
Very professional, after watching this vide i repaste same model with Thermal grizzly LM and easly get stable 4.50ghz with stable 75-85c.
Check out the Honeywell PTM7950 phase-change material is more thermally conductive than the best paste.
Can you tell please the thickness of the therma pads?
It's all different thicknesses. I got an assortment and it did the trick. I added the link in the description
What do I do if I stripped the bolt to take out the fans ?
I would safely glue that making sure it cures before assembly. unless a new replacement part is available
Brother can you please help me with a link where to get a good battery, got the same laptop. Bought a new battery from eBay and it’s not working
This is the one a bought. Still going strong after 3 years: amzn.to/48rzUxR

@ thank you bro I appreciate your response
@ do I have to drain the brand new battery to 0 before I fully charge it back or just charge it as soon as I replace it ?
