This simulation depicts Neuschwanstein Castle hehe Nice one! At least this shows how a midrise-highrise building perched atop a hill responds to seismic events at specific ground accelerations... Tysm
@@PeterWharmby He's a pretty amazing person and plays the piano like a concert pianist, so it is not surprising how much detail he adds to these earthquake simulations.
This is why u never see stone castle in japan or East Asia. They are not earthquake resistant. Although Japanese castle base are made of stone but it is a completely different structure, it starts wide and tapper going to the top, the stones used are similar shaped stone which are stacked on top of each other and no concrete like substance is use to keep them together this allows movement during shaking which prevent collapses. Japanese castle also uses flexible wood join which enable them to move and prevent stress point in joints.
Since I was a kid I’ve always been fascinated at how structures bend and flex so these videos are everything to me 😅 also like to see how lights react when a structure collapse’s
Free cookie - Empire state building Seriously, I've been following your channel for a long time, and I'm very happy to see how good this channel has become over time, I have to say, you're very talented person, And I feel grateful to have seen all this evolution, I hope it continues like this and that you have more visibility here on TH-cam or even abroad, I'm happy to be your fan
Amazing simulation as all ways. Free cookie. All your simulations are amazing. Probably either the motel (one of your firsts) or the bridge. I've been watching for awhile now.
man that tiny bridge connecting the tower to the rest of the castle was heccing strong lol. Survived an epic level earthquake and was able to support the weight of the tower and half the castle falling onto it XD
Free cookie I don't have a favorite simulation, they're all amazing. I would say this one is pretty awesome though because of how cinematic the last two intensities were. Imagine being a person in the remaining section of the castle during the second to last intesity and watching as half of the room you're in begins falling right in front of you, and also watching as two halves of the castle both fall in separate directions allowing you to see the full landscape where there used to be a room, you would be so lucky! Here's something I would like to see; Is there a way for you to attach a camera to objects? Like have the camera following a piece of wall or floor as the building collapses, so it kind of gives us an idea of what it would be like to be inside the structure as it's falling? Maybe add a dummy and have us spectate that in your next sim!
I think I'm hiding in my car again! Also free cookie to the crazy sims that went wrong and to the comparison of the same intensity quake on different planets, sun, and the moon.
I like the castle being on the edge of a cliff, it really resembles a castle on a mountain which is nice to look at. I love your simulations! Free cookie! This is a great simulation video! Definitely one of my favourites with the tsunami simulation! The detail in this simulation is marvelous, the cliffs, the trees, the atmosphere, the immovable parking lot, and of course the castle itself. You really did well on your simulations, especially the ones you've been working hard on. Hope to see more of your content in the future!
Free cookie + your favorite simulation I made.thank you very much for your videos, they are very exciting, but I would like to know when you will release the latest tutorial video, and how you did it on the simulation of different earthquakes? How do you process these seismic data? Looking forward to your reply.

Wow, the main building of the castle survived 10 intensity. So the castle can be assigned as earthquake-proof.
yep.. it has 5 feet thick walls
@@EarthquakeSim yep that would help! Great video.
That tower next to it is definitely not going to be assigned earthquake-proof though.
not really, its left in a state where it has to be demolished, its unstable
yep

Your simulations keep evolving, becoming more impressive. Th birds and the drifting clouds were nice touches, my friend.
I love the mix of ambient sound and calming replay music.

nice channel 👍
These animations are becoming better and better each time! Keep it up!

Very Cool Video Keep up All the good work! :D (also idea: you could do an earthquake simulation of a lighthouse
yep! But I've done a lighthouse before😊
cool! i’ll go watch!@@EarthquakeSim
Would be nice to see a long stretch of land with a few buildings so we can see the waves of the earthquake when it hits

Great video! Looks like it referenced Neuschwanstein in Germany combined with that EQS touch! Carefully engineered castles are beast mode!

Great Job bro💪🏻
thanks a lot!!
How did the parking structure, not to mention the trees, remain standing while the castle and tower were disintergrating?

this is great! would be so cool to see a really detailed house, internally,, with like posters and full shelves and kitchen etc
i know you have a house build up but one with closed walls and very detailed would be great
this is something I've been planning for a while! I am totally interested in creating such a detailed simulation :)

My favorite simulations are the office ones
I don't know what i like these videos
They are both educational and entertaining🙃
the tiny wooden bridge must be made out of some there high quality material to withstand that much weight 9:33
edit: its indestructible
Wow, that little wood bridge between the main castle and tower is a lot tougher than it looks.
Also was this Castle insipred from Neuschwanstein castle? Cuz it looks like that one in Bavaria
The cliff castle is my favorite
14:14 random ahh wood flying for a split second
The funny part is that Parking lot. Nothing cracked or fell. Yep, Earthquake proof. 😂
Yep, it looks like Hogwarts from Harry Potter
It does🤩🎹

Hi i love your vids
i like your videos
And I like you for being here!
Honestly if that Castle was a hotel not a monument then i'd feel less pity than when it's the monument with a history
may i ask, how do you make these simulations?
I am using Blender 3D with a fracture modifier add on and bullet constraints builder🙃

How about a real structure, like say the Eiffel Tower?
This one is real. From a glance, looks to be based off Neuschwanstein in Germany near Austria.
