Car seats are awesome! It’s safer for them when they ride in the car. It also makes them feel more secure so they’re not as anxious. I have a Boston terrier and he loves his car seat!

When my dog was a puppy we used cheerios as treats for training! She loved them and they worked for her sensitive stomach so I'd recommend!!

you asked about the car situation. i have a small dog like him too and he normally just sits on our lap but if you don’t want to do that i think the dog car seats are good too. i know you said he just sits with you when you run errands but we have this little dog bag that we put around us and he goes in it so we don’t have to carry him and it’s so easy to move with him.

Since you travel with the puppy so much have you thought about getting a travel bag? I got mine off Amazon it’s a back pack that holds bowls bed treats and it’s so easy to just grab and go!

They make little doggy car seats which is like a tiny mini play pen that takes a seat and you can clip your dogs harness to it so they have some range of motion but can’t really roam the car
i got a dog carseat for my dog where you can clip the harness on, and it wraps onto the passenger seat. i got it from Walmart.com, just look up dog carseat!!
Definitely get a car seat , my dog is very small like yours and she loves it , it makes me feel better too knowing that she is safe(:

You should get Zeus a bark box it is a subscription that comes with toys and treats for you dogs and they love it also side note milk bones are not bad for dogs that was just preservatives that they need to keep the treats good
My puppy didn’t like treats either so we gave him baby carrots and he loves them so much
I do this with my pup too!
Have you tried the Kong? They have different flavors you can put in them & the dog plays with it to get to the treat. It makes the treat last longer... google it because my explanation is terrible lol.

super weird, but i have a really picky little dog and she's not a huge treats fan either. i'll either give her blueberries (actually really great for dogs!) or cat treats hahaha she's a big fish fan

Emma, I have a Yorkie and have for years get a Snoozer Lookout car seat and put Zeus in it in the backseat. You’re doing really well with him.
And as far as the treats, hell get into them more as he gets a bit older

This is going to sound so weird but some dogs like ice as treats. It's not bad for them because it's just water, and it gives them something to chew on. Just be prepared for water on the floor because he's small and it may take him longer to eat.
It’s good for his age now too since he’s probably teething
