daylight savings is the actual real time, emma 🙄 this is how its rlly supposed to be
Places can opt in or out of daylight savings. Not everywhere follows it
Daylight savings is not a "natural thing" or "how its rlly supposed to be". It was created back in the late 1800s as a way to save energy (i.e. light/electricity) so people didn't wake up in the morning in the dark and have to turn on or use the light or electricity, but it was mainly popular during WW1. It's not really necessary anymore, even a lot of experts argue against it bc of multiple reasons, but the US doesn't want to do away with it bc it's "tradition".
