Oh and I just want to say thank you for sharing your real-world use of the headset. Here in the UK we're still waiting for signs of its arrival, so living vicariously is all we have right now. ❤🇬🇧
Whoa, did the VP cancel out the Echo of your room once you switch to immersion and switched back to unfiltered once you left it? that's a nice feature!
@@TovkalDo you know this for a fact? Immersed on Quest 2 enables 5 mirrored screens from a Mac as smooth as butter. I’ve been working using it for a couple of years now.
@@andrewfox4467 Uff, I'm not sure where I heard it, after consuming so much content about AVP from different sources. I remember seeing that the Mac will render the display at 5k resolution and then it will be downscaled in AVP down to 4k. So there must be a limit of how many 5k screens a Mac can stream to AVP while keeping a super low latency. Having said that, there was a rumor saying that people inside of Apple are able to have 2 displays. What resolution are the mirrored screens from Quest 2? Are they 5K/4k too?
I suspect this is a short-term issue, with everything being v1.0 and Apple focused on getting something / anything out the door. The Immersed app provides 5 screens from a Mac to a Quest 2 (which I've been using to code for the last couple of years), and that's a potato in comparison to the VP, so I certainly don't see it as being a technical limitation. I suspect we'll see a vast number of improvements over the coming weeks/months to this and many other OS elements.
@@andrewfox4467 and hopefully Apple adds the ability to save a user profile with the floating windows setup so that when you power cycle, it remembers what was there so you don’t have to redo everything again.
Thanks for the AVP-focused content. No one seems to explicitly mention this but you can NOT use the mission control on the connected Mac desktop, right? I mean, you can't create multiple desktops on the single window. What about the stage manager?
Thank you for this video. I will update my AVP. One of the things Apple need to update is the audio from other Native app should play in the background at the same time we are using Mac Mirror.
I’ve been getting “input temporarily not working” on 1.0.3 with latest version of Sonoma, too. I’ve got no peripherals connected other than mouse(logitech), magic trackpad, and magic keyboard.
The "input temporarily not working" message means that the feature to control visionOS apps with the mac keyboard/trackpad isn't working, I think. It's a bit of a non-descriptive error but that's what I noticed the few times I got it.
So, I’ve had challenges with the mouse lagging on my MacBook Pro. And I’m wondering what year your MacBook Pro is. I am thinking about doing the update on my Apple vision, but I don’t want to do it if there won’t be a change in the lag on my mouse. What are your thoughts?
Welcome! 🙌🏼 after this update yes I’m loving working in Vision Pro! I’d say it feels like 90% there to the quality of my ultra fine 5K. It’s just more fun and exciting but I totally understand those who prefer a regular monitor still for now though.
As someone like me who loves tech and always loves trying out the latest stuff (with the understanding things may break every once in a while) I believe the $99/year is well worth it!
Betas are not designed to be stable and can contain critical bugs, it is never recommended for personal or work devices. You should stay on the public version for the best user experience.
i suspect that around 2027 Apple will release a ~M5 Vision Pro with 7320 x 6284 with around ~68ppd (double the calculated resolution, unconfirmed exact numbers)
My thoughts on the virtual Mac screen was that it's low FPS and my Logitech master 3 mouse has lag vs just using my monitor. I dont know if it's capped at 30FPS or what but it just feels much slower than my monitor. I've been getting that same input error since day 1 on Feb 2nd, and it's weird bc it doesn't actually stop working, it just goes away eventually and I'm only using a wireless Logitech mouse that is fully charged.

Thanks for watching! 🙌🏼 hope it makes its way across the ocean asap!
Love the frogs in the background 😂
Didn’t think those would be a part of the screen record 😂🙌🏼

if only Apple would allow more than one mirrored display.
They can’t right now due to technical limitations (bandwidth of wireless connection)

Can you show not Mac but window connect to Vision Pro maybe window laptop
There’s no clean connect to windows PC. Maybe through an app or something but the main connection feature is only to Apple silicon Mac’s.
Can you use your eyes/hands instead of the keyboard/trackpad/mouse to control the MacBook at all?
No sadly, for the connected Mac screen you have to use your trackpad or mouse.

I hope that worked for you!
Awesome. What's the range for Mac mirroring? Can you go to other rooms and still work on your Mac through AVPro?
Yup! Seems like as long as you’re on the same WiFi network

Yea definitely feels like a bug cuz I had no connected peripherals at all at the time of pop up haha
Same here
How did you get that full black immersion background?
Not actually black, it was nighttime Yosemite hah screen recording just doesn’t retain shadows very well

For me it was caused by my MX Master mouse. Got rid of it in place of a trackpad.
What MacBook do you use and recommend for AVP? :)
Has to be an Apple silicon Mac I know that much. Mine is the early 2023 M2 Max 16” MBP!

Noice!
Hell yeah! Love to see it. Do you think it’s worth it to pay for the developer beta? I think about just paying the $99 everyday!

This device is painful to wear
You probably got the wrong size seal
Did you try the 21W light seal
