look at all the ridiculous gestures you do just to wear a piece of tech. I've been an Apple fan since the 1980's, but this is one of their only product releases they've done I couldn't get behind. The same way 3D films failed, take the simplest computing experience and over complicate the living crap out of it. You think people want to be endlessly reminded they're wearing tech. Look at the your hair after you take it off after 2 hours. The needless gestures to do what a simple mouse does. God it's so pretentious it hurts. Tech should be simple, this is novelty garbage.

uh ya because it over complicates the simplest things and while the initial experience is novelty. It very quickly wears off and you're left with a 3500 glorified pair of ski goggles with a battery pack attached....steve jobs would have never approved this design by the way.

This is the functionality that, when fully fleshed out, will entice me to get an Apple Vision product (whichever will be the newest one). The possibility of a fully integrated virtual multi-monitor setup will allow me to work anywhere and completely ditch my current desk space.

The accessory looks nice but it's not called wireless charging when it's just a few pins that connect to the adapter. It only gives it a quick release and maybe the feeling of laying it on a wireless charger.

Nice! Might give this a look. But I've never gone a couple weeks without using my Vision Pro. Don't think I've gone a few days, unless I was out of town or something, without using it. It's my preferred way of computing and TV/media consumption. Especially during football and basketball season.

The problem that the Apple Vison Pro has that the original iPhone didnt is competition. When the iPhone came out there was nothing to compare it to. The Apple Vision Pro at $3500 has to compete against what is in many ways a superior product the Meta Quest 3 at $500 and is entering a market that is already quite well developed. Who in their right mind, especially a casual user would drop that kind of cash ($3500) on a product that is poorly supported software wise amongst other things such as poor ergonimics with a tethered battery, when a $500 Quest 3 or the new $300 Quest 3s have all the same features.

I transformed the Apple Vision Case into an Case to Store luxury Apple Watch bands. The Microfibre lining is just absolutely perfect for keeping Leather Hermès Bands in perfect condition. As with any high-end leather, you can’t use fabric glues or any harsh adhesives when constructing a case. The addition of microfibre ‘polishing clothes’ were pegged down with stainless steel rivets and an outer elastic belt over the top of the polishing clothes to secure the bands without harming them from any potential abrasions. They are so tight, that the hardware can Not make contact with the Leather Bands. It’s large enough for all my Apple Watch Bands, and I keep it in my top drawer…so it’s easily accessible whenever I want to change my style of band. I tried the Von Holzhausen Watch Strap Portfolio, but it only has enough space for 6 bands in total, and each rung is too short for larger Watch Bands/Straps. You can easily convert this and it would last you for ever as a way to keep your beloved and expensive watch bands in mint condition. Each Von Holzhausen Watch Strap Portfolio (6 short bands max) is about $180 AUD, and the price for the Apple Vision Pro Travel Case is $349 AUD (30 Long Bands). With added parts = +$100 AUD Net Total of $449 AUD. As a price ratio: It’s $30 to store each Watch Band in the Von Holzhausen. (Max 6 straps) It’s $14.95 AUD to store each Band/Strap in the Apple Vision Pro Case. (Max 30 straps) So yeh, when factoring in long term usage for an Apple Watch fan, it’s half the price per band to buy a Vision Pro Case and slightly modify it to store Apple Watch Bands.

Imagine being a vigilante with this kind of features, but it's real. Copy, cut, paste, delete, and drag specifically on items and not living beings. -Where you can save such products to ultimately have an infinite amount in your interface power. An AI with such power that it does everything AI does on any device, but also can read the souls of people from birth to present day, until the day they die to provide who is a criminal with overwhelming proof. Then it comes with a jail break app that lets you jail break yourself or anyone else with unlimited health (basically immortality). -Where the other video game hacks are already a thing as mentioned in the first set of examples. I am making a story on that, so don't mind me :P Edit: Forgot to mention logistics being a thing where you have it as a tab like how you have your interfaces in your room. And if you copy weapons, you're basically a one-man arsenal and a one-man army!

AVP seems to be a work in progress, flashing possibilities and potential but also its flaws. It may have be re-engineered not only to be cheaper, but also lighter and more comfortable to wear and also less power-hungry. Developers will not prioritise coding for AVP if it's unlikely to take off as a mass product. Apple made no secret that it was conceived for wealthy tech afficionados, not the average Joe.

I got the Spigen one mainly because the Apple one was too expensive, and I had read some good reviews on the former. So far, I'm very happy with it, has good protection and enough pockets to store accessories (power adapter, USB cable, cleaning cloth, battery, AirPods, and the spare cushion seal (I swap sometimes between them depending on sitting position)).

The biggest hurdle of gaining acceptance of this right now is cost of entry. I suspect that the rest of the tech and infrastructure for the services that will really drive this device are not ready. Sports services, camera gear, sports rights, music concert rights. All need to be in place. Big opportunity for Apple but also not something they can do on their own. I think the Vision Pro is deliberately the expensive product for this reason. Apple want it out there but right now while everything else is being worked out they don’t want lots of headsets out there with no content- that would kill the future. I’d say that the future will be the battery unit being replaced with a processing unit or an iPhone doing all the processing as well as battery. A two way power to recharge and power the headset will make up the difference. If this could launch at the same time as lots of immersive content it will become a mass adoption device. This is very much a deliberate long game. Skin in the game with hardware that shows what can be done, Apple’s service division no doubt working hard behind the scenes.

This is an Dev Kit. Plain and simple but because Apple is Apple.... they can't call it that (but we all know). As a VERY small business owner who travels a few times a year, this device is 100% worth every penny as a way for me to be fully productive in any space or scenario. Everything else/beyond that doesn't mater to me - - all the value has been realized in that alone. However, this is a trillion+ dollar company - they know their customers and the market well enough to realize that 3500+ products don't move like something as ubiquitous as the iPhone. Mark my words - - within the next 5 years, this will be what replaces the iPhone. Not because it's better (people don't want to go around wearing this all day) but because it lets us do more and in a way that the current model suffers from, but the future models will master.

We paid for the app, after connecting the vision pro to my Imac, we can not get it to open a secondary display. it simply only shows 1 screen ( the main screen ). If you could make any recommendations, that would be great. Thanks!

Had this thing been priced at 2499, I would’ve bought it day 1. It’s so damn cool.

Being able to Airplay to the AVP is a half-hearted attempt to legitimize the unit as part of the Apple Ecosystem. Until we have full Home Sharking the AVP remains a bastard child of the ecosystem. For those of us who have had AppleTV since 2007 (when there was no media available for it) or who started with iPod 1 (when there was no media available for it)....we have significant collections of media that cannot be accessed by AVP because Home Sharing is not there. I can drop a video file into iCloud and play it...but if the aspect ratio is greater than 1.77 (i.e. anything in Cinemascope or 70 mm) AVP simply chops off both ends rather than fitting. it into the letterbox. Moral of the story: the AVP needs full access to Home Sharing with Quicktime-like app to access media.

Still looks blurry. Resolutions are going to need to go to at least 8k per eye to be truly revolutionary. Pretty much still a toy.

There’s not enough market for a such a product. Apple Vision as well as META are restricted to “selected countries” meaning that their market slice is reduced at start. Furthermore such devices work sometimes based on specific “services” like subscriptions etc that are also restricted to “select countries”. For example : in my country Apple Vision isn’t available. Even if I’ll manage to grab one, and intend to use it while I drive my car with navigating maps on … is still unusable because Apple Maps are very very basic in my location. And then … the price. In technology only the very enthusiastically ones are willing to pay big for a product that gets old and almost obsolete in a such short time. Another example : my Smart Tv doesn’t cost near 3000 usd and it’s already 7 years old. I wonder if Apple Vision will keep up same time.
