I think you guys should try replacing the head lamp and turn it into the air tube in order to increase the air into the combustion gaining more power on the track
There is no headlight on this bike. Even if we make a ram air setup the sensor pack on this bike is not sophisticated enough to compensate for the extra air flow. This is on our radar but we have to do more research in order to execute this properly.
Our beta version is for testing purposes. We retained 0 offset and are testing other parameters first. If we do offer these to racers sometime down the line, then we will surely make them available it eccentric setups for offsets.
No we don't. There isn't much of a performance increase in replacing the top triple. The bottom one and the spindle are the janky components on the R3 and replacing those makes the bikkest handling difference.
That is on my radar. I need to figure out how to get a fork, wheel, and brake caliper here to play with. I also need a source for replacement parts when we crash this bike. I would prefer something that is on our market like RC390, but the problem with KTM is that they do not sell separate parts. If you crash you have to buy an entire fork leg and then put your race internals in that fork leg. This is definitely not the way I want to go. If we could get parts for the RR easily that would be the way to go but there is a barrier there too.
TSTindustries i may send my bike for you, i just wondering how good bike 155cc with vva if get tune up by your company, and its sohc type macine will it get more powerful or would be worst.
I'm not trying to be a negative nancy; but my comment/question harkens back to my younger racing days. An old adage something to the tune of: "Build lots of motor, and shave lots of weight, but at the end of the day, if the rider won't go on a diet to drop a few pounds, it is all for not". So I have to ask: How much does your rider/racer weigh, and are they at their peak physical condition to truly cash in on all your (beautifully crafted) hard work?
To truly cash in on our investment we would have to put a 16 year old kid on the bike, and my kids are way too young for that. For the experimental phase Bart is the rider coming in at 185lb. Once we have a solid setup we will put Alex on it. He currently races our supersport machine and has won championships on it, so he will be a good pick to step up to the SB R3.
Cause no one in their right mind would consider to buy this purely for road use, it's of little to no gain to a road bike. It'd only make sense to put it on a race bike where literally every ounce/pound counts.
please don't get me wrong i appreciate to see what can be done with this nice bike but ... it leads the idea for the little class ad absurdum turn a cheap sportsbike for cheap motorsports for everybody into a high class bike for rich spoiled kids
If you want to race on the cheap you enter supersport classes. Those classes are designed to keep cost down. Yet Superbike and moto3 classes exist so there is opportunity there to make and race something special. We have fun doing what we do, and this bike is a result of that fun.
Beautifully machined handle bar bracket guys. Hope these will be available for sale for us mere mortal.
They have been available for a while now and I don't see too many mere mortals moving towards getting them.
Moto3 prototype awesome! ASBK would love this for the YFM R3 series. I can't wait for your DeltaBox chassis build. Awesome work.

Well done...
YAAAAAAY
My local club has a weight minimum for the R3 of 320lbs. I'm curious, do you guys have to stick to a weight minimum for your bike?
What offset did you use, OE? Will the subsequent units have eccentrics in the steering hole to make them adjustable?
Our beta version is for testing purposes. We retained 0 offset and are testing other parameters first. If we do offer these to racers sometime down the line, then we will surely make them available it eccentric setups for offsets.
Awesome!!
Wow, very schmick. There's something about a well engineered and precisely machined component...
This triple clamp actually look alot like the new r3 model, i think you guys just inspired yamaha
I'm here
You should also upgrade the mag wheels if you want better weight reduction
We use Galespeed wheels on this bike
from Malaysia...💗
If you guys made a triple tree like this for my 2020 r6 I would buy it
There are other companies that make that part. See if maybe Attack has them.
do you have a triple-clamp for road use R3 ??? Triple-clamp with key hole .
No we don't. There isn't much of a performance increase in replacing the top triple. The bottom one and the spindle are the janky components on the R3 and replacing those makes the bikkest handling difference.
When are you going to mass produce the top triple tree clamp for retail? It’ll sell like hot cakes.
I do not know if this part will ever be released for street use.
make this available for sale!!
Please make it available for sale
It is available for sale
U should take a look at CBR 250rr Indonesia version stock USD, Will be working great at ur r3

I so wish we could have that in the USA. That bike seems like a good one for us to play with.
TSTindustries i may send my bike for you, i just wondering how good bike 155cc with vva if get tune up by your company, and its sohc type macine will it get more powerful or would be worst.

TSTindustries i would have to agree!
why no ignition barrel ? on the TST one. limits your customer base
jack black "Race use only"
Cause no one in their right mind would consider to buy this purely for road use, it's of little to no gain to a road bike. It'd only make sense to put it on a race bike where literally every ounce/pound counts.
Why not with USD fork?
That will come later in the season when we find the appropriate front end we want to use.
TSTindustries Brembo brakes as well?
Pls do design a road series for us weekend warrior.. we love your R&D for but we need to bring our bike to work too...
TSTindustries take a look at CBR 250rr Indonesia version stock USD, those USD working really good
aqsha izac I really hope next year Yamaha will make a new design on R25/R3 with USD fork
I assume you guys have 3D printing machine, haha. . nice invention.
We have several but none were used in the development of these parts. These are straight from the mill and lathe.
how easy does this thing want to wheelie I can only do a 1st gear wheelie without the clutch I bet this can do a 2nd gear one XD
It's not geared for wheelies. It's built to cut down lap times.
how much for a triple clamp on a o7 Daytona
We aren't planning on making a triple clamp for that bike.
TSTindustries keep us posted
Can you sell us that part please?
We have to go through thorough testing before we decide that.
I want this triple clamp can you send me one
Of course. You can find it here:tstindustries.com/tst-triple-clamp-yamaha-yzf-r3-2015-.html
why is it $600 for a piece of metal?
Why are bikes $8k for several pieces of metal?
Too bad I have to sell my bike in order to survive
please don't get me wrong
i appreciate to see what can be done with this nice bike
but ... it leads the idea for the little class ad absurdum

2.5 pounds gain?aestheticly nice,but exept on a top championship....it's only a waste of money
I guess you did not watch episode 3. There is much more to this design than just weight shed.
