I've been having a lot of fun with CoH3 but small things like AT rifles literally moving a multi tonne sherman tank by shooting at it's side or flamethrowers shooting through a stone wall literally and killing enemies instead of themselves takes me out of the experience every time. Completely agree. I didn't even notice flamthrowers being able to fire through HILLSIDES! Thats a major issue. Ive been a staunch defender of the game, but thats ridiculous.
From a sheer balance perspective I never liked the idea myself. Hedge rows sure, walls… ugh. I would be OK with the AT guns piercing but the flamethrowers feels a bit too strong as a counter to defensive positions with physical barriers and line of sight intentionally being used in choke points. Not sure if that will change anytime soon.
As for the AT rifles causing tanks to move. Sure I would agree with that, I think it’s to illustrate damage through visuals but I get how it’s unrealistic.
Here’s a tip, if your in mid combat and need to build a building just hit the building 3 times and it’ll build back at base without you having to place it down
They need to fix shooting through walls, I love the attack ground buff but a wall should function as a wall, especially in an urban combat scenario. If walls don’t function, fighting in a dense city is functionally the same as fighting in a really big corn field.
those AT rifes hit nearly flipped the sherman over, wtf is going on? and why flame throwers can shoot through wall lol? if theres a hole or window fine but solid wall lol
I don't know if you're taking suggestions for these videos, but one thing I as a noob have been wondering about is how I should be using smoke grenades/launchers. I'd be interested in seeing some tips on that.
I imagine it cant be any different to 2 or 1. Smoke is for breaking LOS on units like HMG or to protect a low health unit while it retreats. Or for closing the distance for weapons like smg’s.

As an allied player though, it's concerning that the allies have no grenade launcher equivalent (to my knowledge, and hope to be corrected) that the allies don't have much in the way of the same option. Would love to see the option for rifle grenades for engineers like in COH2, or as a potential upgrade for scouts to help keep them relevant to the mid-late game.
@@dannydementia2542 I believe they do but it costs munitions. What I was referring to was having a one-time upgrade that allows them to fire grenades (albeit with moderate damage) to help deal with blobs, etc. Plus, I'd have to pick Airborne just to get access to them, and that replaces the scouts.
Why doesn't any big youtube channel talk about the defects? The game urgently needs a balance. Not to mention the flamethrower troops that are killing instantly. Need to go back to the old coh2 system, if you play with a spear you run the risk of exploding and losing your unit. I noticed that the British are the weakest nation in the game. Missing a firefly. The color palette is a mess, you can't tell who's friend or foe. There are no names of people.
Do you actually watch his content? Some of those issues and many more have been brought up already during his matches and from many other content creators as well. Most of these issues have been acknowledged by Relic so why beat a dead horse?

If I remember right, you could use a flamethrower through a wall too in COH2

Attack ground to clear mines? Attack ground to fire past normal range for AT Guns?

i think US pathfinders have rifle grenades

Attack on ground is pretty much useless with infantry or tanks but it Shines with artilery if you remember Enemy postions

Spawn locations for skirmish don't seem like they're accurate. I have had it place me on the other side of the map when I designated to the other.
I feel like the flamethrowers need a nerf to units in buildings across all factions.
