    For someone who's had limited wire work experience - me , you are a fantastic teacher. It's been several years since I've done any wire work but you've given me the confidence to start again. Thank you. And God bless.

    Oxana: Your wire wrapping tutorial videos are by far, the best on TH-cam! I've been watching you for a few years now and while I began as someone with ZERO wire wrapping experience, I now feel able to confidently follow, and complete most of your demonstrated projects. Friends beg me for one of your pendants! I am still not perfect at wrapping (your wraps are perfection!) half round but I will not stop trying! Thank you for being the best teacher I've found on TH-cam; what a gift you've given me and I am sure, many others.

      @@OxanaCrafts You are very welcome. Think I will experiment with dead soft wire. You really seem to have a hand for it. All I have ever used is half hard and I love how my pieces turn out, but I have an idea they would be easier to wrap. Thanks for the great videos!

    I just watched my first wrapping video of yours. Nicely done and calming to listen to. One question, do you ever use nylon coated pliers? Just subbed and looking forward to watching many more. Thank you.

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! I don't because I like very fine tipped pliers so I can get into tiny spaces and nylon pliers tend to be bulky.

    Beautiful Oxana!!. I have two Ruby cabs the same size as yours and was wondering if they would be too large to use as earrings. Basically using the this particular method you used but modified so that they are smaller. Or am I making a big mistake and just go ahead and make them into pendants the way you did?. Thank you Oxana 🙏🏼💗🍀

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could make 2 pendants and attach earring hooks to them so they'd be earrings. Depending on the weight of the rubys they might be a bit heavy. But some people prefer bigger earrings, so it is really up to you.

    You are a fantastic teacher. I want to make tennis racket pendants as gifts for my tennis friends. The shape of this pendant is very similar to the shape I want. Thanks for all your sharing. I want to add a round yellow bead in the center of the racket strings. Any videos I should watch for this. It’s a large round seed bead. Thanks

    Love this project! One question though, you mentioned using a teardrop stone that we should put the point down... Why?

    • @bkrindy9856
      @bkrindy9856 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe point up would prevent you from being able to complete this design (the swirls on top) because the stone would cover the "window" you'd need to put the wire through...I guess possible but VERY tricky.

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yep that's exactly why :)

    Hi, Oxana. I just attempted this design and have a question. How in the world did you keep the square wires aligned correctly? Also, how did you do this when wrapping the bale?

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Before I use the square wires I straighten them by running them through a thick cloth. This way they are not twisted. Since the sides are flat they stack together nicely, I find them much easier than round wires. For the bale I separated out the two bale wires wires first and then I wrapped the half round around them by twisting the pendant and I guided the half round wire around.

  • @brittneystevens549
    @brittneystevens549 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you were using a cab 2x the diameter of this one, would you use more strands of wire or a bigger gauge?

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd size up to 19 gauge square for the base wires

    • @brittneystevens549

      @@OxanaCrafts Awesome, thank you for the fast response!

  • @crystalellsworth1538
    @crystalellsworth1538 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    May this design be done with round wire? If not could you pound the wire flat?

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes you can do it with round wire. If you do that then for the thin wire I'd use 28 gauge and do a weaving pattern instead of wrapping around and around, so it does not unravel

    • @crystalellsworth1538
      @crystalellsworth1538 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OxanaCrafts thank you for your quick response. I really enjoy your teachings. I do not use stones but I use cabochons dipped the back into my paint dripping designs.

    In your materials list, you say it's 20 gauge. Then in your video, you say you're using 21 gauge. Which one is it?

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      sorry, typo, in video I am using 21. But you can definitely use 20, especially if your stone is larger than mine I'd recommend going up to 20.
