SuperRaeDizzle That litterally has to be the most beautiful and the most true thing anyone has ever said. You’re absolutely right about that though he was too good for this world. Bob Ross really should be labeled a saint. The kindness and love radiates through the television.
I had the incredible good fortune to know him and call him a friend. My grandma (Diana Shaffer) loaned him many of the animals that appeared on the show, including Peapod, and I got to know him because of her. He was even more genuine and kind than you could imagine. He had a huge impact on me and seeing this pop up in my notifications made my heart happy.
Lindsay Osterhoff do you mind telling me more about him? I watched him growing up with my aunt who raised me. When she died, I watch him everyday now to remind me of her and happier times.
Disabili-TV Well, my favorite story was when he dropped everything to defend my honor at school. I was a kid when he was popular and recording his show. Because of this many kids in my school would "beat the devil out" of their paint brushes in art class. I was in first grade and absolutely adored him because he always treated me so kindly and so when one kid started doing that I excitedly said that I knew Bob Ross. Unfortunately the kid didn't believe me. I was a super sensitive kid so I sobbed after school when I told my mom that I'd been called a liar over this. My mom called him and told him what happened. He was so bothered that I was sad that he dropped everything to show up to my school the next day to prove I was telling the truth. He stuck around and drew pictures and met my friends. He truly was the type of person who would do anything to bring joy to those around him. What people saw on TV was absolutely accurate and genuine. He really was that kind. :)
Well, let's say that God made a mistake back in 1995... Actually, I am getting more and more convinced day after day that "only the good die young" for real!

So when his Army mates and him reunited they couldnt recognize him with his afro and beard and especially his relaxed tone when he spoke.

Most people don't know that he's missing his left index finger that he lost to a sawing accident. If you look at his left hand you'll see. And his son is also a painter too and has appeared in some episodes.
RIP: Bob Ross you'll be missed but you painting shall live on.👊😎
Used to watch his show every Saturday with my family :') love him
Mr Ross seems like a genuinely nice gentle man. I first learned of him when my sister broke her finger and was at home watching him on TV . May he rest in peace surrounded by his beloved birds and animals
He was a phony who ripped off his teacher, artist Bill Ross, and never gave him credit.
It's ironic: as a drill sergeant, he was a demanding perfectionist but later in life he didn't believe in mistakes.
