At first I was like, what this guy doesn't talk? But I get it now! I watch every stitch like I was sitting next to my mom, so much knowledge you share, with us watching! Thank you
I love all these videos, they've taught me so much, I work in an industrial setting sewing heavy duty high temperature blankets for generators and engines, but your videos on setting up timing on the pfaff and singer machines has helped me more times than i can count. I want to reupholster my front seat in my car and replace some torn vinyl, and your videos help give me confidence, thanks so much, definitely a master!
Nice work! Thanks for posting! I always wondered how the diamond patterns were done. I’m sure there are more ways to do this however this one is straight forward and easer to understand. Very good camera person you have, they know exactly when to zoom in and show exactly what where to concentrate!
There are some people only dedicated to disqualify the work of someone without providing a minimum. I think the right thing would be to give an opinion about what seems wrong or demonstrate with facts instead of 'clicking' in a nonsense way. I want to note all of these videos are free and aimed to people really interested in learning something about upholstery.
Cechaflo you're doing great jobs buddy, keep going man, I'm appreciate that, a mean you're Schering your craft and ideas with people and want them to learn something maybe you inspire other to learn something to work on it, one of your followers on your channel from Algeria.
I just really appreciate all your video demonstrations. I have 23 years of trim development experience and watching you work makes me wish that I had had you as my instructor. Thank you sir for your expertise and willingness to share your skills.
I love how your videos are among the most informative without a word being said. Keep up this format! Your videos helped inspire me to purchase an old Singer 31-15 machine. It might not be the ideal for upholstery, but it gets the job done for my own projects.
soy juan rivas don cechaflo usted es la unica persona que conparte los secretos de tapiceria usted es universal no hay nadie como usted y ni habra alguien como usted sin hipocresia sin habaricia yo lo respeto mucho don cechaflo gracias
Best part for me is at 22:18 where the lines for the secondary (sideways) stitches are laid out; now I understand how this works. Extremely difficult to find an upholsterer with this kind of talent or even knows what a blind stitch is. I've seen some very high-end show cars with really disappointing interiors, stitching on pleats staring you right in the face because the client or the upholsterer was ignorant of the proper method or didn't think the end result was worth the extra effort. Many upholsterer's (even high-priced talent) stop with top-stitching, unless that's actually the look you're going for that's a job only half-way done.
I really appreciate your kind remarks! In fact, 'blind stitches' on car seats are synonym of 'elegance', besides the foamed channels are more durable than top stitching channels. I think it is only a point of view, but I think so.
I am a upholster here in Barbados in the Caribbean and your videos are excellent I watch them over an over an I have learned a lot, keep the good work up I have applied your techniques and they help,a whole lot.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I learned to use a sewing machine because my mother never wanted to read the instructions manual. I would learn all the features and teach her. Thank you again!
Hey Chechaflo, just wanted to drop by and say muchas gracias por educarnos. Your worksmanship and quality of work are absolutely supreme. Saludos from Washington.
I did an alcantara headliner. It didnt come out so good. but with what I learned from you I can repair it and not make the same mistakes. thank you. Gracias amigo. trabajho muy buena!
Thank you very much, I really enjoy and learn to much with your videos, I think they are the very best upholstery tutorials in TH-cam, clear, precise, pacefull.... beautifull job thanks again, SEE YOU SOON 😁.
Thank You for taking the time to show us how it is done. You make it look easy. I do know when someone is very good at something they make it look easy. That is definitely the case here you are very good. Keep up the great videos.
Fille d'une tapissière décoratrice, votre travail est magnifique, merci de le transmettre avec vos démonstration. Girl of a tapestry-maker decorator, your work is magnificent, thank you for passing on(transmitting) it with your demonstration.
You are an artisan, really beautiful stitching. I am an upholsterer. My only complaint is with certain customers not knowing what really goes into a quality upholstery job and just how long it takes to achieve the end product in dollar value. Truly awesome work!
looks good. A tip for inexperienced sewers. Check your bobbin thread occasionally. If you run out half way through a seam it is a problem, especially with vinyl.
Thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Thankyou. Lovely work. I only repair jeans, but you have inspired me to be a little bit more methodical with my work.
awesome video, thank-you. As a beginner it will be some time before I reach a level to try this out but I did learn a great deal about how it was done. You are a true master and teacher for sharing your craft!
You could create different figures (squares, rectangles, polygons, etc.) following this method. It could be applied for old cars and furniture (office and home). Thanks for watching the videos!
You're welcome, mate! ...we're stopped to the moment...just, for a while...to finish a first course of a series, related to 'how to easily wrap in leather a steering-wheel'...it's matter of a few days more.
wow I love watching your videos, I wish I had a upholstery guy like you near where I live in Aberdeen md i have a 1940 Pontiac i would love to have the seats done. no one near me does this that I know of, you are a master of your craft, I wish you well and continued success , If i was younger and had a heavy duty sewing machine I would try it myself. im sure a regular sewing machine will not work
+manlaw83 I really appreciate yur kind remarks! ...A regular sewing machine works (preferable those old metallic machines)...it is not the ideal, but you could do upholstery if you have basic knowledge of sewing. Some changes to the machine, such as, a thicker needle (from 18, 19 to 22); if necessary another 'needle plate' with the little hole for this needle; standard thread (138). A one leg 'zipper presser foot' would be useful and it can also be used to sew piping. On the other hand, a 'roller presser foot'. Incredible workmanship Chechaflo,Thank you for sharing! May I share a gift with you?One of my crafts is building fishing rods, and the lathe used is spun with a 1/3 HP sewing machine motor. It is difficult to control at the low end (even at the slowest pulley settings), just as yours is, so a friend of mine got together with me and we wired a commercial dimmer switch to a receptacle. All of this is inside of a Quad Box (4 plug metal box) like you see on the end of extension cords at work sites.Turn down the dimmer 1/2 way or so, and when you push your motor control pedal the sewing machine won't take off like Dale Earnhrdt Jr. leaving the line. One thing to keep in mind is not to run the dimmer really low so the motor bogs down as this can burn up the armature, but you can get pretty low.Feel the motor occasionally to check and see of it is getting warmer than usual, and this will give you a clue to be careful. Hope this trick helps you in your work, and thanks again.
