Im an upholsterer as well and this video was a pleasure to watch!!
Thanks
Very good video!
I'm an upholsterer too but I really enjoy watching other upholsterers work and at the same time learning new things.
Thank's!!
Thanks for watching!
I love how you explain everything. The seat looks wonderful and what a great color combo! BTW...Nothing like 'baby in a box' to keep you entertained.
Awesome video! Come to Arizona and help with my old truck! It’s really nice in winter when Canada is cold…:)
I could be in to that if you pay my shop rate plus a spot to park my trailer!
Not gonna say no……. It would make a cool video too.
I'm some schmuck who's planning on doing the interior of his 51 DeSoto himself. Appreciate the tidbits and info. 😉
Awesome! hope it works out!
Way back when - A and E had a show - Furniture to go. I loved watching that show - it was so relaxing. Your upholstery videos do the same. Pretty impressive and beautiful work for just throwing something together. It was funny to see Lux show-up in the box - I was surprised he stay'd in it.
Joe and Ed .
High speed baby playing in a box is pretty entertaining ha
Dig the Southern Culture on the Skids poster...
Plastic seat cover sweat seemed fitting for the upholstery room haha
After watching both segments of the video I learned a lot and understand why some covers are expensive.
Yup! It’s not exactly a 5 minute job haha
I paid $3 for mine turkey electric turkey cutter knife at the second hand store I don't think it ever been used it even came with a nice case it's kind of funny it was probably from the '80s cuz it's that weird white plastic with wood grain I've had it for like 25 years now still working great
Deal of the day!
on foam.....you can use a hack saw blade....works great!!
Lee I agree the original style looks so much better in the older cars excellent job Mike
very helpful. I thought you could glue fabric around foam edge so hog ring didn't tear.thanks
Very nice. I learned how the sausage is made. Fascinating, thanks.😊
you're a good teacher,hi Shannon&Lux
Looks good .
Thanks for another great video!
Great video. My Saturday is complete.
Thanks Lee good info.
Sweet, your second half of this series I've been hoping for. Cheers man
Lee the seat looks great!
I agree with you about late model seats in classic cars, it absolutely ruins them.
I passed on buying an otherwise really nice car because someone put late model buckets in it and had tossed the original bench seat 🤦♂️
Don’t do it, it looks like dog 💩
Don’t toss your original bench if you do put buckets in. Finding another is a huge pain.
My first shoebox had no front seat. I ended up buying another car just to get the seat frame from it
Nice work!😎
What a great Job you do!

Dude, show car or family car, you rocked the upholstery!
Thanks!
Really appreciate the sharing of this! Looks great.
Thanks for watching!
Excellent videos! The presentation was really great, informative and clear. One suggestion would be to give a list of the materials that you use and the sources. Thanks!
I thought I mentioned the materials as I went along. I buy from various upholstery wholesale suppliers who import it all from the states.
Hi: You did in fact mention the materials as you went along
but I was asking for some sort of list of the materials and the sources. @@LGKustoms
my favorite Robt. Williams art piece on the wall
Pretty sure i got that out of Thrasher magazine like 20 years ago
Awesome video you make it look so easy lol 🛠️🇨🇦🛠️🇨🇦
As usual. a job well done. The rear seat finally got some style and will be appreciated by Lux and Doris for sure.
Doris just loves tuck and roll upholstery!
Great stuff! Looking forward to seeing it in the car!
Me too!
Great Couple of videos on the seat!
Glad you like them!
Lee, I have a 46 Super Dlx 2-door. The seats need the same work, love what you did to your's. Stay safe regards to the family. 😊
Thank you for a great video and explanation. Your instruction is perfect. Love your videos.❤❤.
Congratulations on 10K. Well earned.
Thank you so much!
Thanks for showing the follow-up video on upholstering the seat. Like the back of the seat, it looks fantastic. These videos illustrate why custom cars are expensive. Your work is too quality. I’ll be eager to see the installation. Thanks for sharing your expertise.
I’m eager to see it installed too!
Always appreciate your honesty. Great work showing how it's done. Beautiful job!!!
I appreciate that!
Excellent tutorial.
Thank you! Cheers!
Kool 😎
Nice job Lee
Thanks
Brilliant. And your so right when you see a car or truck with modern seats never looks good. Especially high backs and headrests. Still haven’t had ago but have bought a second hand sofa that needs covering so I’ll have a practice on that. Cheers from England. Tim. Lux is superb👌
Really dig the interior videos you do! Gives me the confidence to do my own when that time comes.
Go for it!
That turned out great. You good on everything you do. Keep up the great work and video's.
Thanks, will do!
Really well done. Might even attempt it on my '47 !
Go for it!
Very nice job. Great video

Thank you!
A video so nice, I wish I could like it twice! I need to make seat covers for my '50 Styleline, but I wasn't sure how to make my own patterns. What a great tutorial!
You can do it!
..hi Lee.....great job being a teacher, as usual.....nice Lux in a box placement.......thanks, man.....
Glad you liked it!
Cool man! Oh didn’t use a heat gun at all to smooth out any bumps? That’s impressive!
Dude!!! 10k!!!! Great video!!!! I learned a lot!!! Thanks!!! More of the kid Helping!!! 50k next time!!! people till your friends!!! Your videos are educational!!!! Not like the drama queens!!! Just saying!!!✌️
Yea!!! thanks so much!
Hi I have the same car that need the rear seat done although it has the original material on it, I hope to get some good information. As for the package tray mine has some kind of formed plastic that was covered. Did you do a video on the quarter window regulators? They are quite unique!
No I haven’t done a video on the windows. I’m assuming you’re referring to how they roll back as well as rolling down?
I see you cutting lots of material with those scissors and wonder what brand they are and how you keep them sharp.
I’m not sure what brand they are. I bought them at Sawyer Sewing here in Victoria for $37 over 6 years ago now. I’ve done absolutely nothing to keep them sharp except occasionally drop them on the floor or spray glue on them 😆
😂
What hog ring pliers do you prefer?
I have no idea what brand mine are. They were just in the upholstery supply catalog haha.
I’ve used many different brands over the years, and they all pretty much work the same
Do the wrinkles in the plastic pose any problems for the dimensions? Thanks
You want the plastic to be wrinkle free in the area you’re patterning.
Thanks! Hey does that machine have a walking foot?
Yes it does
@@LGKustoms ok thanks. I think that's what is making it hard on mine is that it doesnt have a walking foot.

That "Supervisor" was keeping a close eye on you. I don't think he had to because you seem very capable. Thanks for the video.
Don't know if you'll read this but what model singer do you use. Watching for South Australia
It’s a singer 111G156
Great videos boss, I could use a few more of these, thanks for sharing, and you don't sound like a dick either. take care.
Hi! Do you have a link to where you ordered that seat foam?
I order my foam from KB Fabrics in Surrey BC. Im not sure if they have a website, I just call them like it’s 1999.
Good day. Are you in CA? At the Roadster Show?
Unfortunately no, not this year
I cant seem to find 1890 density 1 “ foam you described. Do you have a vendor for it you could share?
I buy it from KB Fabrics in Surrey BC
How can I contact you ? I am in Victoria!
Can you tell materials so I can try
This material is Naugahyde vinyl. But there are literally thousands of different kinds of materials to suit your styles and taste.
The seat foundation is made from burlap, 1/2” Jute underlay and 1” 1890 density foam.
@@LGKustoms thanks I've always wanted to learn how to dov upholstery
Can you Tell me roughly how many yards i would need please for top and bottom
Where you located?
Join found it :Victoria BC, I’m in Toronto Ontario 🇨🇦😊
Yup, Victoria!
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !"
Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ."
Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!"
Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..."
Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
So where was Sybil during all of this.?
