I am SO JEALOUS! So many beautiful places to go in such a short space! England is gorgeous! My parents decided to move the family to Illinois, USA in the 60's from NE England- what were they thinking? Illinois is very boring and you have to drive for hours or days to get to anything worth looking at. Not sure why I stayed here and too old to move now! Have fun!

I remember the first time I drove our first van, it was a ford transit and my husband said I had grin on my face so wide. That was back In the 70s and I’ve driven many vans since, we now have a 21 year old VW Gatcombe which we’ve had for 15 years and is great to drive. We don’t travel to far these days but I just love to be in our van. We used to travel around a lot that is why I like your posts they bring back many memories. I have heard a lot about these ridge monkeys so might try one what size did you get? I’ve just found your site so will look at your other post. Thank you Susan

I believe it’s an xl but they may have changed the models as I know there is two just measure against your burners. I have actually cooked on low a banana cake so it can be like a mini oven

No it all started there to be honest - I had done a bit of multi media stuff at work. So sold taught like us all … as we went through Jane now narrates which is a a lot better and we toned the music down do more in the background … if you watch our latest we are trying to get a right tone and pace …..

I’m liking the sound of Duvalay? How and where do you pack away and store your double mattress topper and bedding during the day? I will measure bed width and get back to you 2.Duvalay do a bespoke service you basically send them the measurements - if you go to their website they will quote you. There are two levels if I recall to me go for the higher spec although costs more 3.so packing away I found a car boot cargo net type item that has hooks and handles. So what we do is leave the quilt on and fitted sheet and each morning roll up bed. Wrap this cargo storage around and store over the back of the seat which is a large seat 4. Not had any issues as yet but not had any service work or warranty done as it is only 11 months old so I am hoping no issues

Hi how are exciting - it’s a Dometic - I think it’s a 50 model I can check if you need more info. I am not sure what is on the market and you may want to check the latest versions to see if the power output is lower if you are buying it yourself

Hi,thanks for your reply, much appreciated, I’ve emailed steve and I’m meeting him later this week at the NEC show, can I ask tho do you find the SWB big enough in high top mode for storage or do you wish you had the LWB? Reason I ask is I’ve got a massive drive and my work car park is big too so the extra size isn’t an issue as a daily vehicle and I wonder if I’d enjoy the extra space while away in holiday mode, do you k ow if you get extra cupboards in LWB Thanks for you blogs I’m following them all 👍🏻👍🏻
James Bonner so this is really a personal choice - I would say that if you are going to look to live long periods in van you may like the LWB. But for us the beauty of the swb we can get anywhere without stress. Note I am not a confident van driver lol. We don’t want a shower it separate toilet so swb works BUT we would struggle in a pop top as you get so much more in high top. We are also a minimalistic couple so that helps. My advice if there is just two go for high top - now it’s a choice of how do you feel about parking the larger van where do you want to go etc and can you be satisfied with minimal existence - we believe we can be in our SWB Harry for 3-6 months on the road mixing wild camping and site camping with facilities .... I am not sure they have a lwb leisure van but I know they have changed their range options. Also we went for leisure van as we liked both seats swivelling which is a must and both sliding doors is different and gets a bigger sense of outdoors - good luck and enjoy the research ...
Hi, we have a webasto Hester in our Campervan and find it quite noisy. How was yours? Did it quieten down during the night? We haven’t had to use it overnight as yet 😉 Great vlog, have subscribed, look forward to following your adventures 👍
Hi so there is a fan noise for sure but to be honest it does not wake me - it took us a while to get the temp setting we want which is trial and error .... and times even -2 outside we find it to hot

Ours is fitted with a fridge but it doesn't have a freezer, we may replace it, we will see how we go for now.
@@pauline7418 we used to use the freezer on short runs as we would take stuff from our main freezer but decided the shelf space was more usable
