Evening Mr. Shabazz. I must confess I have not beheld your videos in quite some time. I suffer from knife fever phases, Of which I am currently stricken with as I correspond with you my good sir. I write to you with a heavy heart and a light wallet as time and time again I faithfully follow your cutlery considerations. Never mindful of your declarations of surcharge. Nevertheless, you sir, by my measure, are still King of the Knives! Lol Thanks for the awesome years of dedication man. Always been the best in this corner of youtube. Merry Christmas!
@@TH-cam-Censorship-Police *Ah--* I tell you with alacrity and humility that the Bemberg Gent is of finest steel, smoothest bone, crafted by Alsatian smiths and blessed by Nehalennia herself.
Nick, right now my collection is bringing me more pain than joy. I have switched over the using utility blades for most of my tasks and my knives have turned into glorified fidget toys. I have also almost exclusively switched to quartz watches to wear when I am not wearing a smart watch because they are less annoying. Send help please. I miss using more of my collections. I have lost my excuses.
Hey, I get that. But you've found something that works. Keep a few pieces that bring you joy, sell the rest, and then move onto something that brings more joy.
I keep enjoying my Titanium fountain pen from Prometheus as I love the way it writes and sits in hand, but do I wish that the screwing the cap back on would not feel like one thread is metric and the other imperial. That is truly the only downside for me. I even use a little syringe to re-fill the one-way-use ink fills (and it is super easy).I had no leaks of any kinds in the 2 or 3 years since I had it. I keep considering the Bolt Liner from Ti2 Design.
○ The issue I find with the form factor of a space pen, it like to slide out of the pocket. ○ The issue with the writing experience; because it uses a pressurized refill, it requires more pressure to use, and the line suffers from the normal ballpoint pen issues of intermittent line. ● HOWEVER, the form factor is among the best on the market. A close second is a Kaweco Sport, but the Kaweco had that classic "overbuilt, German engineering" so very robust, flat spots for resting the pen, but the extra material makes it rather bulky compared to the Space pen.
Love my ugly ultem tactile turn pen , however not as much as I love my big idea designs bolt slims . I’ve been fighting the fountain pen urge . I went to Italy this year an there was a store that had some amazing pieces.
I have a Bastion (blue coated) aluminum bolt action pen that I've been loving as part of my college EDC. At under $30 (it was when I bought it), it is very well made and it has an excellent value such that I used it almost everyday. For a fancier carry, I have a golden clipped Parker Jotter (black gel ink version) and a copper Refyne EP1 (uses standard black ballpoint Parker ink cartridge like my Bastion pen). I also pair one of those pens with either a Fisher Bullet Space Pen (matte black one with clip), Tombow Airpress (pressurizes to act like a space pen when clicked and relieves the pressure when unclicked), or Victorinox Swiss Card Classic (has a pressurized blue ink ballpoint pen insert). The Fisher Bullet goes good clipped to my shirt pocket or to my pencil case (clips to a pocket with a Victorinox Jetsetter and Kershaw PT1 prybar). The wire clip of the Tombow Airpress makes it easy to carry elsewhere and the Victorinox Swiss Card Classic is a wallet carry alternative to those as well as my Leatherman Micra and Squirt S4 (basically a Micra toolset using the Squirt platform). As for lighting, my flashlight of choice is the Wowtac A7 which has gotten me through darker parking lots no problem and feels really solid. It's specs seriously impressed me for the relatively compact size and approximately $30 price point.
Nick, have you reviewed or considered reviewing the Fenix TK30 flashlight? It may well be a use case that is completely uninteresting to you (high speed, low drag), but I found the concept Interesting. It’s an LEP light (laser excited phosphor). This makes it all about throw with almost no spill. It’s a pocket light with a throw of over half a mile. Very cool. But I realize the Venn diagram of its functions and your interests may be two entirely separate circles. Just curious.
I just found your channel and I'm hooked! Please consider mixing down the audio to mono, it gets pretty distracting when you're moving around, especially when listening on headphones.
Damn Nick. thought I had a problem. Lmfao. some sweet-looking pens but I bought my first Tactile Turn pen about a year ago. bought the bronze with timascus bolt/clip and ended up buying the matching pencil 2 weeks later. I loved them so much that I now have a pen and pencil in zirconium with timascus bolt/clip as well. being that they are so well made I have no reason to even try out any other pens/pencils that are out there. I'm actually trying to talk my buddy into making pens/pencils but he's not going for it. I'd love to make me own brand but instead of using titanium, bronze, or copper I want to make them from more exotic materials like zircu-ti or even 24kt gold/.999 silver mokume. made a small piece of mokume from 2 1-gram gold bars and 2 1-gram silver bars and even though it's rather small it came out looking super sweet. as far as flashlights go there are a good bit that I'd love to have but unfortunately they are ones I can't afford so I just stick with my Emisar D4V2 with the blue swirl pattern that looks a lot like timascus. Btw I'm sure you know this but a UV flashlight will charge up your watch lume a lot better than a regular flashlight and you can get them rather cheap at places like Pep Boys or Autozone since we mechanics use them to detect fluid leaks.
“ParkER JottER” was a mental flash bang I was not prepared for and it has turned my life upside down.
Same here😅😂
It was surprisingly unsettling to hear "Parka Jotta" turn to "Parker Jotter"
I thought it was "Pocket Jotter"
Equally disappointed
i got dizzy
He sounded a bit like Robert Downey Jr. to me when he said that. Couldnt stop laughing.
I can't help but smile every time you talk about the Pakka jatta

As someone who also follows Pete over at Cedric/Ada, seeing a Spyderco Advocate causes terrible, reality melting flashbacks.
I love, so deeply, that video. I don't know what happened to him to make him produce that, but I hope it happens again.
I gotta dig out my Jetbeam. Forgot about it for a while. I do enjoy the rotating light power ring thingie...
what about pry bar=edc carry?

Have you heard about the NF1 from Tesseract Tactical out of Kansas City, MO? Would love to hear your review.
Remember when Hinderer Ti flamed was the cat's meow...I guess they still sell them, but I don't hear from them much!
Where is your Kaweco Lilliput?

“Acoustic flashlight” had me laughing out loud in the office… “do NOT watch TH-cam in the office, especially if it’s Nick”
Didn’t you originally review that schön with the roller ball attachment?

Nick, have you seen that Nitecore has pushed the technology forward and made a TWELVE THOUSAND LUMENS!!! light?
Did you sell the MBK Fieldtrekker (fixed blade)?
No, it's in the first video.

Alas, no espada XL in the collection.

you should add a "DO NOT GET INTO FLASHLIGHTS" disclaimer like the watches at this point
Nick... How the heck do you not have the USG Z-Scribe Go?
Why does every reviewer ignore the olight baton series?
In my case, I dislike proprietary chargers, as well as their approach towards reviewers.
