Thank you for this most enjoyable video. Love how you had the paper with relevant data, I can easily pause and read when I want.

    Greetings from Australia.
I'm surprised that the Pilot E95s isn't on there. I know a bit pricey with gold nib but it's a classic pen.

I ordered it and it did not arrive on time. I waited and waited. It should be arriving any day now. This will give me a chance to review it.

I just bought my first pocket pen, a Gravitas in solid copper. One of the compelling reasons that attracted me to the pen were raves about the way it writes, but I also like metal pens (and wood ones too), partly inspired by eco concerns about avoiding plastic, but I also like Mother Natures’s natural beauty which inspired me to purchase an insanely expensive Sailor pen in Juniper wood.

I would like to recommend you try the Hongdian M2 again, mine worked great right out of the box. I love the metal body that feels solid. Less thrilled with the Majohn q2. Love your videos! Keep them coming, I’ve enjoyed them all!

Nice list of amazing pocket pens. I have a Jinhao 100 Centennial Mini which is a copy of the Duofold also, nice pen.
My top 3 pocket pens are all vintage, Pilot Elite, Platinum Pocket Pen, and Sailor Pocket Pen, all from the 60s/70s.

Thanks for sharing! I will be publishing my review of the Jinhao 100 mini in the next few days. Stay Tuned

I love the format of these videos! It's really helpful too see the top view with both writing sample and pen. It also makes it easy to skip around to compare pen sizes.

Very interesting and equally nice collection of pocket fountain pens. I was not even aware there was a mini version of the Parker Duofold, really nice pen, hope you will enjoy it for a long time! Indeed as others mentioned your pocket pen collection will not be complete without a Pilot Elite 95s.
I also really liked the Ultem pocket versions and I am now waiting for your review of the Namisu Studio Ultem if you have decided to purchase one after Chris showed us his pen recently purchased.
    Great video, subscribed!

I ordered it on sale weeks before by Best of video was scheduled to be published but it never arrived. As I write this, its stuck somewhere in customs. But it will be reviewed as soon as I receive it.

Found my brass Kaweco Sport on Amazon. Sale price was $63. Not sad about it. I carry it every day. Great pen.

I know its a very popular pen. I just never seem to use mine.

Well organized review, the Majohn Q1 is “inspired” by the Tombow Egg FP which is a great writer for those suffering from arthritis, the Kaweco would have made it to numero uno on my list, and I’m surprised not to see any Schon design pocket six FPS , but hey to each his own, thanks❤

The Schon design pens are too expensive in my mind. But they are on my list. When if find one on sale I will take the jump.

My two Pocket pens are missing in your collection and they are probably well worth to own.
Both from the same company based in Scotland: Namisu.
The Nova Pocket is very similar to the Gravitas on your second place. Besides a Ultem they sell different materials including Titan Petrol. There’s also a converter to change the tip into a ballpoint. Thought eydropper is recommended I rather use a cartridge because in my imagination a ink-change sounds painful with eyedroppers.
The other one is a Namisu N2. They are equipped with a Bock nib also available in Titan (#6). The same here: There’s a converter to use this Pocket as a rollerball.

I know it's about the pens, but those lists would be even more interesting
if you would mention the inks used for each description.
    Anyway, thank you!

Noted! My individual reviews provide a writing sample with the ink etc. Most of the pens have a detailed review that you can take a look at.

The Hongdian M2 is different from the M1 in more than just shape. I really like my two M1s, so I'm not putting them down by recommending the M2, but I think the M2 turned out more popular in general. I remember when reviews started coming out that people didn't like much the feedback in the M1 nib (I did!) And the M2 nib is a bit bouncy. Recently, the descriptions for the M2 in Amazon have been calling it a soft nib. I wish the M1 were as popular as the M2, because I wanted to see it in more colors. M2 first came out in 4 colors with black trimmings, and now there's an all black pen, 2 colors with gold trimmings, and a brass version with slightly different proportions.

I think the intention of the 471 is to use them in pairs, which can be connected by using the metal ring to join them back-to-back to form a double-ended fountain pen. To write you then only need to remove either of the caps and begin writing. The pen will be long enough to use comfortably without needing to post it (though you could).

Many sellers offer the M1 at 12€ plus shipping.

I don’t have enough experience to make this comment, but I will comment anyway. I would not be put off buying a pocket pen that I would have to post. How else can you keep a pocket pen really small to fit the pocket.

    • @fountainpentherapy
      @fountainpentherapy  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

When it’s capped, it’s pocket size friendly and when you use it, you post it best of both worlds
