North Georgia's Hidden Gem! Mountain Biking Aska Trail's Flat Creek Loop!

- Okay, not hidden at all, but I feel like when people think of mountain bike trails in North Georgia, they immediately think of Bull and Jake Mountain, or the Pinhoti Trails. I rode this trail 4 years ago when I didn't have my bike with me and ended up using my dad's XC hardtail (that was an experience). 4 years later, I thought, hey, maybe I should try that trail again on my own bike, lol. Needless to say, I had a completely different experience. This trail is an absolute blast!
If you do this trail, I highly recommend getting there early in the morning to avoid a lot of hikers!

Good one. You included the climbing which shows the whole picture. I see hundreds of vids showing only how fast they go down the trail. Showing the climbs shows your effort and makes it real.
Sometimes I embrace getting muddy (ha). I bring a beach towel, and before I get back in the car, I tuck one end of the beach towel under the seat headrest, then tuck it again between seat back & seat (include some slack on the part where your back rests so it stays in place) - it keeps my seat clean and the beach towel doesn't move around, even during a long trip home. When you get home, let it dry and then fling out the larger clumps of dirt (do this outside - ha) before washing it. A clean beach towel is always in my biking bin. Thanks for another great video!
I really need to start doing this so I don’t care as much, lol!
Awesome video and riding. I live about 90 miles south of Atlanta and have never ridden it. Guess it’s time for a road trip. Thanks for sharing your video. Pedal safe
Thank you! Definitely recommend!
Great ride!
Terrific video! I hike this trail often. Will hike it again in a couple weeks and evaluate for taking my bike. Might try the shorter Aska Long Branch Loop first before trying the Flat Creek Loop…..thanks for the video!
Thanks so much!!
