My Dog Mountain Biked 20 MILES With me!!

- Lacie has counquered a 14ner with me and a handful of strenous hikes. She's no stranger to a 20 mile hike, but she's never done a 20 mile bike ride. This past weekend, I decided to do just that with her! She's an extremely high energy dog, so of course a 20 mile sprint for her was a drop in the bucket, LOL. 😂 My crazy dog was doing zoomies around the house later that night when we got back, throwing toys up in the air, ahaha. Her energy always makes me smile. ❤️
I do want to throw out a disclaimer that Lacie rides constantly with me, and has a pretty strenous exercise routine during the week. Not all dog breeds are cut out for this. You also never want to take a dog out for a long bike ride or hike when they're not used to it. It's all about building them up!

it's awesome seeing trail dogs. I would love to see a follow cam to see her running down the trail. I have a full size Aussi that I would love to trail train. They are a super high energy and wicked smart breed.

Great video and riding. That’s one awesome pup. Sorry about the dogs attacking you. I got bitten about three years ago by a Pitbull while I was riding. Had to get 11 rabies shots and a tetanus shot. The owner never called the dog off.
Thank you!! Ah, sorry to hear that happened. :( I’ve never been in a situation like that before. I guess it’s good in a way that it happened though to keep me on alert moving forward.
We got a new puppy, Libby, training has started! Hopefully by fall she will be running while I bike. I've come across some very untrained dogs, drives me crazy!

I'm a pit bull owner and that is a poor owner and should not be allowed to own a dog, especially a larger more aggressive breed
I 100% agree. It makes me so mad that there are some dog owners out there who don’t take the time to train and work with their dogs, or just don’t care. 😞
