    Basically the song says ... you can be as beautiful as you want, if the character sucks, I don't need you.
    You're just sucking me out and not giving me anything back.
    A diamond, but only a stone.

    This song is so beautiful and fits Till's voice perfectly. I think it's hard for him to sing it live, where he can't hide behind hard riffs or pyro and actually sing.

    • @xsezz
      @xsezz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      He did it with "Mein Hertz Brennt" as well. He must be feeling some intense pressure to sing in front of tens of thousands of people. Anyone would. People can barely talk in front of 10 people, now imagine singing for a sea of people...

    One of the most beautiful songs of the last album😍Till had a deep voice here and Oliver played the bass in a fantastic way...You have to react to Deutschland,another song from the same album...the official video is an experience..Instead,live I suggest to you Deutschland live at Milton Keys...Good job as usual with the reaction man...greetings from Italy

    It's his stage fright he's contending with. This song reminds me of their Seeman's song.
    Hey I just read in Google news that Till's releasing a second co-authored National Geographic book with his poetry included with pictures from S. America. I didn't know he had a first Nat Geo book!

    Till is really very shy.. he's got stage fright...when he has to sing like this..where everyone is focused on him makes him very uncomfortable..in the beginning of Rammstein he would avoid looking at the crowd.. that's why he wore those sunglasses/goggles...also the pyrotechnics were a way to divert attention away from him..when Till gets on stage his whole persona changes..it's like a whole other person emerges from within when he steps on stage..
    So with songs like this, Ohne Dich, also in a certain live performance of Deutschland it is very noticeable just how uncomfortable he really is..
    During this performance if you noticed that he kept his eyes shut most of the time..as if trying to avoid looking at the crowd...like a child who covers his face and/or closes his and believes that you can't see him..this is what I felt Till was doing...He is just so amazing to watch and hear him singing..i love him...Rammstein...all members are beautiful in my eyes.

      You are true fan!
      Yeah, someone mentioned the story of the goggles in another comment, could have even been you! Like I mentioned in my other comment, people have trouble speaking in front of 10 people, now imagine singing in front of tens of thousands. It would make anyone squirm.
      You're right about keeping the eyes closed, I did not notice. If it helps him, good for him!

    I love your reactions mostly. I´m an old guitar player an I thought in the 80tys: the guitar is 100% of a band (maybe by Ingvieh Malmsteen 😀) Later I realized: the bass and the drums are half important) and the singer is 99% of a band!!!!!

      I doubt it too. The song depicts a toxic relationship, and by all accounts they are still on good terms, and she has described him as the kindest and gentlest man imaginable. That was after he broke a twat's jaw who insulted his female companion.
