Domenika, you speak to my soul when you say that Rammstein bring you peace and comfort. Nobody I know understands how this can be the case but it is. Whatever my mood, Rammstein are there to make things better and I can't say that I've ever found another band that has this effect on me. Love the song and the album as a whole. Second only to Reise Reise for me.
I agree 100 % ....listening to Rammstein is so comforting...sometimes when I can't sleep I'll listening to some songs by Rammstein and Till Lindemann and just the sound of Tills voice and Rammsteins music puts a smile on my face and just relaxes me...I love Rammstein and Till Lindemann so much ❤
This song is an absolute banger. My favorite song from the Zeit album. They used it as an opener for the tour last year, there is probably no better song in the world to open a concert
In my opinion Rammlied is their best opener, but this one its great too

I love when you say Tills Voice is medcine for soul!!! Yes it was for me too ! And Rammstein ist very deep music, a very specialy Lyric, very different , singing about all sorts of Problem of this world. This song together with "ZEIT" are my very most beloved with deep feelings!!!

Beautiful reaction guys. 🖤 I know that this song is very special for many Rammstein fans. It is certainly very special for me. It is not one of my top favourite songs, but is one of the most personal songs. For me, as a huge fan and also as someone who is in a very dark place, "damaged" I could say, this song is like a big, warm hug from the band. They know that lots of their fans are "damaged" in one way or another, and this invitation is giving me (and I guess all of us) a comfort and feeling that I can rely on them, that I am not crazy for feeling them so close to me... so many feelings from one song.
Since this album was realeased I've had a huge wish to hug each one of them and say a big "Thank You" for this song, for existing and for saving my life.
I love Rammstein so much. They are my saviors.... Even writing this comment made me cry because it is not only a band or a simple love for a band... With Rammstein everything is so much deeper... Rammstein is life. 🖤

In most of his songs Till (he writes the lyrics for Rammstein) mocks human vices, oddities and perversions. Before that I had never come under his ridicule. Because I'm not a maniac, I'm not a cannibal, I'm not a masochist, I'm not a pedophile, etc, and I don't even have tattoos. But with this song Till finally got me.

I agree with you on many points, but I have a much more controversial view of this song from my own (bad) experience. It depends on which grouping you join. If one follows a demagogue and is indoctrinated, you completely give up your independence and only march in the direction you are given!!!! When I was still a little child, my father joined a sect. When I hear this song I always have to think of Jim Jones, L. Ron Hubbard or Donald Trump before he called for the storm of Congress.

This IS one of those songs that only a certain kind of people can 100% understand. This IS a typical Gothic wave music plot "come with us, you are not alone". We, the rejected, the missfits, can be alone together

What Rammstein does so amazingly is building a sense of community! Songs like this one, written directly for all these introverted melancholic overthinking social outcasts are the medicine for our hearts. I think It's not that common in the music industry, for a band to create a manifesto directly for its fans that says "We understand you". This music piece has a very special place in my heart - I even made a ringtone from the intro :) Btw, it doesn't mean that you should share your sadness with others (you can, if you want to) - it's more that you know, that there are others like you and you are not alone :)

Till Lindemann dropped a new music video a few days ago, Zunge. It's crazy.
as Flake says, Tils singing Voice is just amazing. and for me the song is about, not Depression or something, its, just its ok to be Sad sometimes, u cant be happy all the Time. and at this time , the worst u hear is "oh cmon, be happy again", no i wanna scream, or simple cry, just for me.
Usually only the chorus is most beautiful in songs, but in this song the Pre-Chorus is very beautiful, and after it comes also not less beautiful Chorus.

For starters highly recommend Führe Mich and Mehr from their LIFAD album.

It is not "against happiness", it is "towards happiness". Even Germans do the translation wrong, as it is a very poetic expression, not used anymore in day to day speach. This is how sophisticated Rammstein's lyrics are!
It says gegen though, like Mann Gegen Mann - Man Against Man ? I guess you can have it against, as in against it, you don't want it. Or against as in up against it physically and you want it
@@wildwine6400 Sorry, but in this case it is "gegen" as short for "entgegen" in a poetic expression. For example: "We walked towards the sun" can be translated "Wir gingen der Sonne entgegen" or "Wir gingen gegen die Sonne". Nobody would say that nowadays of course.

Translation should be 'against luck' (gegen gluck), not 'against happiness'. Marching against the odds at achieving happiness, but still marching, and marching together. It's... nice.

The wort 'trist' or here 'Tristen' for person is rarely used anymore, I think by 'modern' Germans. Sad is hardly hitting it. It's a very meaningful word, combining many moods: Sad, unhappy, bored, gray, meaningless, unimportant, disillusioned, not recognized... and many more feelings. Nobody wants to be 'trist'. The song is about the danger, that people in that are in that mood can be influenced by rat catchers to follow them to the dark side, by giving them a home in a tribe and giving their live some 'meaning'. That's why the rhythm is a march in 'Gleichschritt'.

This song is about them. I don’t know how but their songs are really healing. Dark topics, so much pain and passion. But it really helps when you're in trouble. For me it’s so.
