Insurance is very less compared to my Ertiga, I paid 23k when I purchased. Also 5k for every 5k kms of service.

🤦♂️ insurance has nothing to do with the make (Maruti\Tata) , it depends on the price of the car and what kind of policy you have taken , there may be almost 5000 to 10000 difference of insurance premium on the same car from different insurance companies!
Meri Tiago ke 5k lagte Hai for 15000 km service. Tata is now cheaper than Maruti to maintain.

Bhai. 21 k is the premium after completing 01 year of insurance. Author has not disclosed that how how much he paid when he bought the insurance while buying the car. In my case, I paid around 70 k for xz plus for buying the insurance.

I guess the cost is quiet low as compared to other vehicles in the category. And is very much in lieu with segment and pricing and keeping in mind the overall size of vehicle.
Harrier looks like an SUV..whereas other so called segmenters...are like.. model with sport shoes...trying to be an athlete..

Presently you have to move to authorised service centre for your vehicles servicing as covered under warranty but in future days you can buy the same grade of engine oil ,oil filter , diesel filter, air filter etc from outside tata authorised spare parts shop where there you will find at least 25-25 percent price difference from your present service centres price list

You are a lucky person bcs u have a Great Indian Car
You have been charged excess for Air filter, brake fluid and diesel filter because air filter should be changed after 30000km or if it's too dirty and the car has been used on rough roads. Diesel filter is to be changed at 30000km and brake fluid has been used only as top up but you are charged for whole bottle. Always stay besides your car and see what the mechanic does and how he handles your car. It means much.
Exactly.... 9000 for 7500kms service is way too expensive.... In ford for 10000kms service (second free service) it would cost around 2000/- max for bs4 and around 3500/- for bs6 vehicles....
Air filter , ac filter and fuel filter for every 7500 kms service is not acceptable at all.

Brake fluid is also used as hydraulic fluid - for your hydraulic clutch. Harrier clutch pedal is actuated by a hydraulic system. It should have been under warranty.

How is new XT+ variant with panoramic sunroof ?
I'd prefer xz over XT plus. If you're not after sunroof, xz is feature loaded. 6 airbags, rear fog lamps, JBL sound system, bigger screen, semi digital mid, leather seats, apple car play, android auto. These are the features you'll get over XT plus, and it's clearly worth.

I also thought that that maintaining harrier wold be expensive. Now I am clear on this. It's ok now and insurance and service cost is manageable. Today I took test drive of harrier. Clutch travel is more which can give fatigue during long drive and left leg movement is restricted which gives little problem. What do you say for this?

You are lucky enought to get rid from clutch plate payment, otherwise you have to pay around Rs 20000/- for clutch plate which is too much expensive in compare to its rivals.

Harrier is definitely a "WHITE ELEPHANT". Let us compare it to a Creta. Creta 1.5 diesel's 2nd free service (first major free service like Harrier's 3rd service at 15k kms) at 10k kms costs approximately INR 2128. Road Side Assistance is not necessary to be included in Creta's insurance because Hyundai provides it free for the first 3 years. Hyundai does not recommend replacing the engine air filter and AC air filter in every major service because these can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner and reused instead of being replaced ... About insurance, the car is irrelevant. What determines the premium are the optional addons, IDV and the price of the car variant. So, the insurance percentage rates are mostly the same irrespective of the car with minor variations between insurance companies ...

I guess if you compare the price with MG Hector of same price and Jeep Compass of higher price about similar services and look at their bills, you will be shocked.
MG hector offers you a AMC pack which costs similar to the same of Harrier and then their service cost is zero. literally zero including consumables.
Jeep Compass also similar however the AMC pack is costlier than Hector and Harrier.
it's up to you to decide however just putting the facts here.

So, I faced the same clutch burning issue with my brand new XZ+ (just on 170 kms) and I'll get the clutch plate changed but I wanted to ask if you are facing any other problem related to clutch now when you have a new one, is there some other issue with it or is it just working fine now? I'm sort of worried as it's just been 2 days since I bought my car. Regards.

There is no problem in new clutch now.
Dont worry it doesnt matter when this problem triggered in your car as soon as you ride with half clutch you will face this issue like in bumber to bumper traffic. Dont worry go ahead and change your CP

I am confused between seltos mid variant or Harrier base variant and going for aftermarket modifications.
Good Engine and space are only priority for.
Also whther such modifications (lights ie fog lights , ,music system etc ) can be covered under insurance??

if good space and engine is your req go for Harrier.
on papers it seems same boot space 425ltr but in practical harrier boot is much much bigher.

Vikrant - Harrier base varient price how much. I think we should avoid after market mods as much as possible that too anything with wires
Aftermarket modifications if electrical, they are enough to scrap your warranty because companies always have an excuse to blame your modifications for the failures as now days all operations in vehicle are electronically controlled and they will prove one way or the other way that your modifications caused the same.
Also insurance will never cover aftermarket accessories also in case of total loss like fire, these aftermarket electrical accessories are blamed, so you may not get a single rupee claim as well in such cases.
I am not denying company's claims as well as insurance claims stating aftermarket accessories causing issues because the aftermarket shops will always justify their point that they are not cutting wires and hence no warranty issues etc however adding additional loads will always have it's impact.
This is not 100% true always and depends what modifications are done.
I recommend no electrical modifications should be done to ensure you don't get yourself in the grey area of debate

I have harrier xz plus, and yes it will create problem in the starting, but after 3 or 4 days of driving you will be used to it and it will not create any problem. Harrier is a very good SUV.

I want to say that when someone sit in driver seat left knee touches the dashboard which is vey much irritating,kindly make some changes in dashboard design that driver's knee of left leg

Agar IDV kamm bhi hai aur aapne apni insurance me RTI(return to invoice) le rakha hai , agar gaadi total loss bhi ho jati hai toh apko invoice value pe claim milega. Isliye IDV matter nahi karta.
Paaji wahi to bol raha hai agla. Usne RTI nahi liya IDV high rakhi.

AC filter bhi replace karne ki jarurat 1-2 saal baad hi hoti hai, they can simply clean and fix same. Ghar mein kabhi AC filter change karte hain kya?
But it is same for any brand so comparing other brands it's reasonable. Best thing to check if some brand call for service after 10k kms. Then certainly maintenance cost will decrease.
Bhai Harrier manual says you need to change all this except Ac filter on 15k. To na maane agla company ki ? Hosiyaar ban jaye khud se ? Phir warranty void hogi to tere commnt dikhayein TATA ko ?

@@A_Single_Journey.39 creta is a fuddu car. Seltos is way better in driving. Harrier is strong build and also good in driving but steering is heavy to manage. Tata's after sales service sucks.

Also if ur driving in city and highway at normal speed carefully n not rash driving it is good car to go for. Of course it is not as strong build as others but its also not made of paper. With all entertainment features and premium looks its not a bad choice. Harrier is heavier and those who need safety more than features shud go for this. Handling it maybe little tough for some. U may not enjoy city driving with it

@@vijaymeena6789 I guess you missed the video where he got it changed under warranty, the service center acknowledged the issue and also confirmed it is there in Harrier and that is the reason they changed the same in warranty else Clutch can never be claimed in warranty unless it is a manufacturing defect, in this case Tata says it is a design defect
