I'd be interesting to see you repeat the accuracy test with both types of rival rounds but using an older Rival blaster, say a Kronos... See if that optimized barrel is actually a thing or not.
@@ProtoAzula unless you’re able to get one with a fun switch (which is very unlikely given that you need to have a dealer’s permit) you’re paying upwards of $1500 for a pistol caliber carbine, which are already largely overpriced.
Yeah the guy above is right, unless you have one in full auto It's laughably overpriced for a semi auto and you don't get the full potential of the Super-V system or whatever it's called
@@ProtoAzula oh, please. No major military or police service actually uses the Vector, Kriss offers the licence to its "sci-fi" design out any video game company or movie set they can manage on the cheap (they even told Infinity Ward they could use the Vector for free) to get it in pop culture as advertising, and then makes its money off the overpriced and unwhelming semi-auto civilian models and their cut of officially-licenced airsoft models. The Vector just isn't practical in real life. The Super-V system is worse than the roller-delayed blowback in the over 50 year old HK MP5, let alone its contemporaries like the short-stroke gas piston SIG MPX. The ergonomics are puzzling, with an awkward shape to hold and strangely placed controls, the safety is in an incredibly unorthodox position for such a recent design. It uses Glock magazines, which sounds great for compatibility, but it would have to use the long extended magazines anyway to prevent having to reload all the time. The double-stack, single feed design isn't really all that appropriate for a submachine gun, let alone one with such a high rate of fire, with the automatic models clocking in at around 1,200 RPM. Most successful SMGs that are still around today are at 900 RPM or lower. It's like the Desert Eagle; it has a unique appearance and acts quite differently than the more real-world effective options. It appears on the big screen and small screen alike all the time due to this, but neither of them actually see much combat use due to being impractical and expensive compared to better options.
I do like everything about the blaster except the priming handle. Not a fan of that and afraid I might break it. Also I think there is something wrong with your blaster cuz other people I've seen got average above 90 fps
i'd love to see a flywheal conversion of this make it burt out the entire mag in an instant like an R99 from apex. with the plunger assembly removed there's be space for a battery and probably a small solenoid
Yeah I thought so too! Has the look of the round magazine nob and the slanted grip angle. Pretty sick looking design they got going with these new rival series. 👍🏻
But only at 13-15 feet from the target. Clearly the further away the target, the more pronounced any accuracy differences will become. And 15 feet isn't very far for testing rounds that will easily fly 4 times that distance.
I've got the Fate and the Vision, got 2 of each actually, and they both seem to shoot hard and fairly accurate, but all my Rival blasters are pretty accurate. I think you got a dud blaster there.
Of course, if you look at it logically, the design isn't that much different to the much older Sideswipe and it's smaller sibling. They all have sharply angled magazines in front of the grip. Typically, it's Zuru X-Shot that copies Hasbro Nerf, who have been making blasters and coming up with new ideas for a far longer period than Zuru.
Am i the only one who wants a full auto blaster with a priming handle? Theres something about it thats super satisfying. Performance can be meh if it activates neurons lol
I went from 90s Nerf guns to the Elite Recon to Rival Perses and Roundhouse... Idk how anyone complains about power and speed all these new guns are INSANE...
A couple years out; the Fate is definitely my favorite of the initial three. Ergonomics wise, it’s perfect for me, and the stock performance is awesome. When I play in an arena, I almost always pick the Fate.
Considering that Nerf were pretty much the pioneers of modern foam dart/ball blasters, and Zuru have been imitating Nerf for years, I think we can let Hasbro off this time. Besides, the much older Nerf Sideswipe and Flex were a similar, if somewhat curvier design.
I feel like the vision I got hits pretty hard (i dont have a crono) and it's definitely accurate as hell, it could be just an issue with the one you used in this vid
I ordered 4 of these and 4 pathfinders for my indoor nerf arena business. Love both of them. Ordering 4 more Pathfinders, I prefer those the most, maybe the best rival blasters every made in my opinion
Little surprised you didn't mention on of the neat features; the follower slide has an extension that covers the loading port when it's all the way back up, so there's no chance of rounds accidentally falling out.
I think this blaster would be great if it had a Spectre-like prime. The Nitefinder-style prime would be OK if it had a spring return, or it just stuck out, though.
The vision does look like a kris vector smg, but single action pullback, it’s compact, similar size, bigger pull handle, and the ammo capacity is 8, which is the same as the takedown, and the reaper overwatch blaster.
Speaking of internal mags, my local Target (East Coast, US) had the Sideswipe and Takedown on clearance for $9 each as well as several other blasters like the Flex, Ultra 4, and Meteor 2-pack for $7 each. YMMV, but it might be worth checking the clearance section of your local store!
Unlike with the Kronos, having separate access to the magazine tube divorced from the action of cycling the breach means that would actually be useful too, instead of getting in your way.
I'm very much looking forward to a hopefully exhaustive video looking at the new vs old ammo. Put a few hundred rounds of each through a somehow firmly held in place Perses to be able to see a broader pattern. Do the same with a Hades (to see Springer vs Flywheeler, saying Hades just cause it's super high capacity for easier testing). Test from 15 feet, 30 feet, 40 feet, etc. Maybe even try hooking a fan up to blow from the side between the blaster and the target if you want to test wind. I really want to know if I should be looking to get new rounds into my college HvZ pool, or if I am going to not care.
@@WalcomS7 I mean, this is true, but it also isn't. I like running my Hades and hanging to the back of the group, trying to take lots of long range shots at the charging horde. A shot hitting or missing at medium range can be the difference between an ally dying or not sometimes. Of course, it's not a massive deal usually, but if there's a flatly better version of the ammo, why not see if I can use it when possible. It most definitely won't be a game changer for me or most any HvZ player, but I don't want to miss a flat upgrade from simply swapping ammo if that's something I could just do.
@@Eragonnogare I like your logic ...cuz why do we mod, to make it better if we can ...who wants to shoot at something 10 times and hit it once ... it gets frustrating! So I see where your coming from. Thanks
I love this on sound alone, the looks are already making this S tier but the sound is so satisfying. I was comparing it to the Curved Rival and that is a nightmare compared to Vision
when he test's the blaster using the gunpower snt, there is literally a rival pathfinder on the table. It's not properly visible because you can only see the stock of the pathfinder.
8 rd cap is decent for a side arm/ secondary blaster. Thats not a very holsterable shape though. Gonna have to depend on that sling point on the grip. And if its uncomfortable to use, thats a significant strike against it. I dont think this replaces the Kronos
I can't see Rival ever being accurate. You can try and try, but Like a French officer once noticed, making the balls more pointed makes them more accurate and shoot much farther. That guy was Claude Minié, and everytime I hear someone talk about the accuracy of Rival, I just think about how the Minie ball just makes sense aerodynamically, and why Rival can't be as accurate as a normal dart. One more reason to put that half dart conversion kit in the knockout, and add magazines to these other blasters. Good on hasbro for making more kronos skins, because the kronos is just a really freaking good platform for mods

that what i was thinking
The Kronos's muzzle velocity is really low tho
The adjustable rear sight is for elevation and wind direction. Little bit of an overkill but not a bad little feature if you know how to use it.
Would knowing how to use it make those balls not curve?
@@zeroblade6599 basically yeah because it allows you to calculate the wind
It’s like the Fennec from CoD Modern Warfare, which is itself based off of the Vector. It’s probably the coolest blaster of the trio.
Unlike the Vector, however, the Vision actually offers advantages above its counterparts that justify picking it up at its stated price point.
