Okay, this reply is fairly long, but I can tell you my honest impressions of The Crew Motorfest's handling(and other parts of the game. The key word here is 'honest'. I'm not going to pull punches here. But bear in mind that I really wanted to like this game... - the handling's improved...but not by much, and not by enough for it really make the cars enjoyable to drive. The sense in which it's improved is that the stopping distances are better and more realistic, the cars have a little more weight to them. It now feels a little more like driving line actually matters. At first; and I mean within the first ten-fifteen minutes, I was fairly impressed. But the longer I play the smaller the changes feel, and the more the changes feel like illusions. Cars still have that horrible habit(NFS Unbound does this too) of instantly slipping out of traction and turning sideways with no real warning. In the market leader in this genre - Forza Horizon - the cars lose grip *progressively.* It doesn't just happen straight away. But in TC, a car is either gripping the road with its tires or it isn't, there's barely any in-between. They are instantly sent sideways by kerbs, again because of the game's inability to simulate the gradual loss of traction. So, honest opinion on the game's handling so far is that it's still...awful. I don't know how to say it nicely, it just feels horrible to drive a car in this game. The cars still feel lacking in momentum and weight above all. Horizon does this - it uses real physics, but by softening the edges it lets even novices explore the consequences of real world car behaviour. What the Crew does by contrast is cut corners. So instead of simulating real physics and making it approachable for any gamer, it just designs certain driving mechanics in isolation and then forces them into the game. Eg. drifting. In Horizon, or in any arcade/simcade game with something like a real physics model(eg Project Cars 3, Driveclub, etc.), drifting is just what happens when the physics models a car losing grip. And when the player can manage the loss of grip, and balance it, that's drifting. The drifting is an emergent property of the physics model. But The Crew just bolts on this terrible drift-handling model, and then switches it on for some cars('drift edition' cars), and leaves it switched off for all the rest. So it feels completely unnatural, because the drifting was inserted by hand. This is the case with almost all car behaviour in the game. More than half the cars shown in this video aren't in NFS, it's not really comparable. There is a video where they compared TCM, FH5 and NFSU, and in that video all 3 games were compared on their sound quality of course with the same cars. NFSU actually had the overall better sounds on most of the cars.
@@idriveastationwagon1534 You never know, we have seen their sound quality has been consistently good, sometimes not so good, but sometimes even the best overall.
@@idriveastationwagon1534 I mean, I would like to see the devs do a better job on the game honestly, they have been lacking, I have so many ideas and recommendations and ways they could make the game based on them.
Ain’t it crazy how the original NFS Most Wanted got the sound for the Carrera GT perfect while this game more than a decade later couldn’t get it right 🤣🤣🤣
most cars sound like as if it was recorded indoor and not outside, there is that weird "echo" effect, it's great but doesn't feel/ sound natural (they didn't do the essenza justice btw :( )
one thing ill never like about the crew sounds no matter how good the engine itself sounds is the shifting sound. why the fuck do they feel the need to add a fucking 76mm sherman cannon going off as the shifting sound
the sound is broken in every single game, they can't fix the sound from a broken car, the car revving is terrible, the sound repeats itself on every car, the sound is not identical, this also applies to the speeds in the car game, it looks like you couldn't go full throttle at all, bad physics in the game, a lot of things that have been around for a long time it should have been mastered in the world of games they are totally stagnant for me there is no game that would meet my requirements
I play the crew on ps4 and Im disapointed from the graphics , forza 5 on my xbox one X seems way better (dont talk for the sound realism) is only by me or its just because the standart ps4 cannot produce the full graphic experience of the crew motorsport?
Bro calm down☠️ the crew motorfests graphics are not that good as forzas graphics, but the graphics are good... and the sounds are way better than the sounds from fh5. I play motorfest on ps4 and i love this game
The Lambo and Bugatti are soooo boring. No wonder it's the same company. Also the Porsche is absolutly not respected in the game, it sounds amazing IRL.
the crew car sounds have always just seemed like they are trying to re-create the sounds instead of recording and using them for the cars. there is always this fake tone underneath. NFS does it a little better these days and so does forza horizon. i mean the Ferrari sounds nothing like the real thing, especially at the high end. sounds super fake. the Lambo has no real difference from the Ferrari where it just sounds like someone tried to make a car sound kind of like it. there are all these extra tones from each car that have no business being there. I mean HOLY CRAP THE BUGATTI ISNT EVEN CLOSE. but other than car sounds being artificial sounding and more wrong than right, game is pretty good. Also i hope The Crew team reads this......JUST BECUASE SOMETHING HAS A TURBO OR A SUPER CHARGER DOESNT MEAN ITS THE LOUDEST THING WHEN DRIVING! All cars and engine handle the turbos different. it just sounds like when there is a turbo or super charger you put a in game blow of valve on all of them! Stop doing this. NFS sounds mixer and forced induction slider was a perfect solutions for this. WHAT HAS ENDED UP HAPPENING IS EVERYONE GET TIRED OF THE SAME ASS TURBO SOUND! even though some cars turbos are more silent, depends on size of turbos and placement. Do better
Why most of racing games that has a good car sounds came from arcade Racing games then sim racing games The Crew Motorfest NFS Games PGR Series Driveclub Burnout Series (especially Paradise and Revenge) Forza Horizon series (remember FH is not a sim) Grid Series Split Second TDU Solar Crown So far for me only Project Cars series and NFS Shift series that has a good car sounds in sim racing heck even Gran Turismo 7 car sounds still trash tbh only several cars that has a good and accurate sounds
Sure, real life has slightly better graphics (I needed to buy the glasses DLC though) but there are a lack of options that ruin the game. I can't change the camera out of 1st person when driving. Respawn times after a crash are ridiculously long. There are no free mods in the workshop. The admins are terribly power hungry and will ban you for driving too fast. 4/10
You absolutely can change the camera out of 1st person, there is a option setting that locks the camera in first person, since it's off by default, you turned it on without knowing. Did you at least tried to play with the options for like 5 minutes? I'm assuming you aren't trolling.

More than half the cars shown in this video aren't in NFS, it's not really comparable. There is a video where they compared TCM, FH5 and NFSU, and in that video all 3 games were compared on their sound quality of course with the same cars. NFSU actually had the overall better sounds on most of the cars.
@@raionshishi8290 I see what you’re saying but had those cars been in the new nfs, I don’t think the sounds would’ve been ok at best.
@@idriveastationwagon1534 You never know, we have seen their sound quality has been consistently good, sometimes not so good, but sometimes even the best overall.
@@raionshishi8290 I’m probably biased tho in my comment cause I been playing nfs for nearly 20 years 😂.
@@idriveastationwagon1534 I mean, I would like to see the devs do a better job on the game honestly, they have been lacking, I have so many ideas and recommendations and ways they could make the game based on them.
No one can beat real world graphics
Please do a real life comparison of car sounds with Assetto Corsa🙏🙏
Please fix the Carrera GT sound
honestly is awesome
Why arent there no reflextive side and top mirrors
Side gaming channel? 😂
www.youtube.com/@nickcarvideos/videos - I already have one, but I haven't uploaded a video in a while 😅
@@NM2255 cool still!
Game makes the cars wider than should be
i bloody want an 812
JUEGAZO!!!!!!
Ain’t it crazy how the original NFS Most Wanted got the sound for the Carrera GT perfect while this game more than a decade later couldn’t get it right 🤣🤣🤣
Nice job! Hope forza will take from them.
most cars sound like as if it was recorded indoor and not outside, there is that weird "echo" effect, it's great but doesn't feel/ sound natural (they didn't do the essenza justice btw :( )
now if only the game was good
The Jesko sounds close
Why most of them not high pitch enough?
Testing might have concluded that it becomes straining to listen to in the long run. Only explanation I can come up with.
This game is cool!
I had Mitsubishi evo. Good car but used to drink fuel like a bitch
one thing ill never like about the crew sounds no matter how good the engine itself sounds is the shifting sound. why the fuck do they feel the need to add a fucking 76mm sherman cannon going off as the shifting sound
i hope they do audio revamp on inaccurate car audios
The jesko doesnt sound like its real lige counter part tbh 😔
Comparision video between assulto
the real life 812 superfast had an exhaust
2004 NFS MOSTWANTED got better Carrera gt sound
Il y a une différence au niveau du son des voitures du (des) jeu(x) par rapport aux son des voitures dans la vraie vie
the sound is broken in every single game, they can't fix the sound from a broken car, the car revving is terrible, the sound repeats itself on every car, the sound is not identical, this also applies to the speeds in the car game, it looks like you couldn't go full throttle at all, bad physics in the game, a lot of things that have been around for a long time it should have been mastered in the world of games they are totally stagnant for me there is no game that would meet my requirements
Wow..
Os caras cagaram no som do Carrera GT dentro do jogo :(
every gear change there are a loud banging noise. Like closing door. It's not realistic.
Do better
The turbo noise is ruining some of the TC Motorfest cars (': + almost all of the turbo cars sound the same ( the whistle )
Is that only me who doesnt see the difference of graphics between crew1 and crew motorfest
Probably. The crew 1 looked like a Ps3 game
@@Error-_-404_ no it's better. Looks like a PS4 game. Npc cars maybe not designed properly but the environment and graphics still looks good
why they just don’t make the real sound engine? i want my r34 go stututut real sound or my Hellcat go AYYY AYY AYY AYYYYYY🦅
You got the red liner kit on the senna
The Porsches in FH and GT sound so bad. Glad this game makes the Carrera GT sound similar at least
The crew motorfest looks like a roblox game
forza has no weight to the car, i like the handling of crew motorfest more.
Why most of racing games that has a good car sounds came from arcade Racing games then sim racing games
The Crew Motorfest
NFS Games
PGR Series
Driveclub
Burnout Series (especially Paradise and Revenge)
Forza Horizon series (remember FH is not a sim)
Grid Series
Split Second
TDU Solar Crown
So far for me only Project Cars series and NFS Shift series that has a good car sounds in sim racing heck even Gran Turismo 7 car sounds still trash tbh only several cars that has a good and accurate sounds
@@pedinhuh16 wooooooooosh
the turbo sounds are so bad in the game
All good but carrera gt sound is so bad in game
Really bro? its 2023 and still no mirrors? What a joke
Yeah youre right... im a big fan of motorfest but thats fr a shame.. ive heard that its because of the engine from the game. Its a engine from 2007 man☠️
