Like Nothing and Google phones are good for customer support, and many Xiaomi users flash custom ROMs. But on the other hand, there are other brands like BBK Group and others whose phones are not suitable for custom ROMs. In this video, let's find out why smartphone makers hate custom ROMs.

Some minor things to add :
1: the process of unlocking the bootloader of Xiaomi / Poco phones has been increased up to 90 days if you are trying to unlock multiple devices with the same account , sometimes the time taken to unlock can be between 1 week and 1 month ( this was not the case before )
2: in order to build custom roms for a particular device , we need to obtain the kernel source from the device manufacturer and sometimes we get lucky when the manufacturer releases the kernel source even for mediatek devices
And also mediatek is violating the GPL licence which is a free and open source licence used to distribute the kernel as they are not releasing the kernel source to the public
And there are some manufacturers like Poco and Xiaomi ( basically 1 brand 2 names ) that do a lot of shady stuff like not releasing kernel source of Poco X4 Pro , breaking vendor partition of Redmi note 7 Pro and also removing kernel source of Poco F4 that they released to the public for no reason and then adding back after 3 weeks
3: One of the reasons why manufacturers don't allow custom roms ( eg Vivo ) is because they have proprietary drivers / code for their smartphone camera which they don't want to be used by others
If you have a Xiaomi device then you probably heard about ANX camera , which is basically miui camera for custom roms

Right Now I'm using XiaomiEU 14 Custom Rom 💖 on my Xiaomi 11T Pro and to be honest rom flashing is difficult in new models compare to 1-2 years old models. Old models doesn't require PC while flashing roms but now without PC things getting complicated and too much risky but still it worth it for me ✨ coz I need a clean experience ❤
Custom rom user base has decreased over few years because
1. Companies not releasing kernel sources for their devices
2. Hardware in nowdays phone are more powerful than earlier days so even you switch to custom rom you would see minimal difference in performance in current phones
3. Many features are already available in stock roms
Custom ROM is way to go 🤩 I'm using EvolutionX in my primary phone Pixel 7 and PixelExperience in my secondary phone Redmi Note 7 Pro.

Even realme k phones me bootloader unlocking hota hai but most realme phones me mediatek processors hote hai jo custom roms k liye zyada reliable nhi hai as mtk doesn't release much kernel sources like Qualcomm and even phones ka hype zyada and popular hona chahiye for custom rom support eg poco x3 pro and poco f1 me zyada support hai because it's popular
So conclusion is
Brands should allow unlocking bootloader
Brand should use more snapdragon processors or mediatek should give good support for custom roms and rooting
Phone must be popular so the devs will be encouraged to make roms for that phone

I've been switching to different custom roms on my note 8 pro for like a year now. My personal favourites are cherish os and cr droid. Custom roms are just better in every aspect than stock roms.

custom ROMs gives complete access to the user , with fully loaded customizations whereas normal ROMs has advertisement which irritates completely
I use Ressurection Remix rom on my honor play tho it's old but loved the customization options you get with this rom. ❤

Using Custom Rom PE A13 Extended on my realme X2 pro (Devs stopped Giving updates after A11) had performance and stability issues even during A10 updates, right now i get stable performance and can play heavy games like genshin on 60 fps on lowest/low settings (solo not coop) with stable 1hr performance at least depending on the temperature and environment, no bloatwares can root and turn off cores to save battery and stuff overall it kept my 2.5 year old device relevant at least for what I bought it for that is performance and stability,can even unvolt and overclock GPU and CPU and install custom drivers to improve performance
Also Realme after A10 update c.35 or c.38 stopped us from unlocking the bootloader of the device and now even locking the bootloader is risky and I have heard that device of some users were bricked also trash custom rom support
1:55 bas samsung unke S and Note series k phones jisme snapdragon ka SoC hai usme support deta hai but vo bhi limited custom roms aaye hai like lineage etc
Current era of custom rom is like few years back when only flagship devices like Google Nexus, Oneplus Only have best Custom rom development.. Now only Pixel, and other few have good development

Mera mobile Redmi note 10 pro Max. Me 1 year se custom ROM use karta hoon. Every week or every 15 days I change the rom. My experience is very good with Custom ROM. Mujhe lagta hai ki custom rom is better than the Stock rom.

Galaxy s3 was one of the best device for custom roms then as it had tons of roms available but later from s5 or s6 series they hampered it
Major drawback of using custom roms is issues with banking apps as many banking apps are nowdays not working even with developer options unlocked ..And google is changing Safty net policy which will eventually brick all banking apps on custom roms in future..

If you're using an old device, safety net is passed by default. No need to flash any magisk module to fix it.
Nope you can use that without root it's pretty straight forward on any custom rom and even with root just need to install a magisk module and you're good to go
@@fillerep6659 SBI is already started implementing developer option "ON" detection on some of its app like pension seva and sbi remittance they will not run even on stock rom with locked bootloader if developer option is found ON(checked on Samsung Device) With each update YONO and YONO lite detectes custom rom environment even without root and say environment not secure locking u out same with HDFC..

I did tried pixel experience, but for some reason I still have privacy concern with them. Incase something happens there's no one to whom you can confront face to face. With the case of stock rom, brands have a huge responsibility to make sure at least everything's okay with user's privacy..
Looks like you lack the basic knowledge, better not flash custom stuffs.
As long as you don't give root permission, you are basically safe and this times phones need not to be rooted to install custom rom
Unless and until you flash unofficial build with weird stuff, using PE is safe
I noticed that in latest MI phone ,software experience is like tatti .
Some phone are dead after update or lag like 500mb Ram even in 4/6 GB Ram.

But with custom rom of OnePlus 9rt , my phone is 🔥🔥..

Custom rom name suggests custom and it means customisation...now most of stock roms comes with too much customisations...so no need custom rom till 2 years...but after 2 years when your smartphone company forgets your phone then for new and better experience custom roms comes into picture....😅
I have a Poco M2 Pro ( miatoll) from 2020 and using PE A13 since last 3 months. Previously I was using Arrow OS but since it dropped the support I had to shift to PE. The custom rom support for miatoll devices is so extensive. 98% rom have support for these devices.

Custom roms should evolve in the future.. because at the end of an update cycle for a device companies push bad update to it so users will eventually change their device because of its bad battery backup or throttled preference.... example poco F1... Other hand if custom rom support will be there then the device can be use more 2 years extra..

Best phone with custom rom support I ever used is Poco x3 pro, all roms are stable,
But unfortunately my poco x3 pro died and I got poco x4 pro 5g. It also has good custom rom support but not all are stable.
You should mention Custom rom devlopers too , because of their hard work, we can use custom roms.....

Lollipop के time कुछ roms पोर्ट भी की थी, तब easy था... Micromax nitro के time से roms use कर रहा हूं, एक शिकायत आजकल और है, triple card slot support नहीं आता अब... Card से rom flashing easy रहती है

Unlocking bootloader with Samsung is very easy no pc required in 2 clicks and recovering from bootloop also with odin and samfw however there are not a lot of custom roms for Samsung but gsi roms works perfectly i tried many gsi for years on my galaxy a51 there are also ported one ui roms liked for example the one ui firmware of s20 plus running on a51 but there are not many custom kernels

I think people should choose custom roms because they are more customizable. Not only customizable they give you the full access. I got bored of miui and i dont like one ui and i dont even want to talk about oppo/vivo/iqoo/realme/(OnePlus was great before not now). So all should try new things why should we lock ourselves in a boring space. Custom roms are much better.
