If I had to get an suv, I would consider this. However, for significantly cheaper money, I could just get the Benz version. 😉😂

They are now making up more than 55% of all Aston Martin sales and essentially saving the company. Over 224% sales increase for Aston Martin, credited to the DBX.

Good review. Summed up nicely at the end. Why choose a DBX? You want more luxury than an Urus and more sportiness than a Bentayga. Thanks CAR Girl. I'll also add that it's got some lovely handmade engineering that the other two don't. But I'm not sure it makes it so easy to choose over the other two, because despite their Audi/Porsche underpinnings, the other two are masters at what they do, while the DBX doesn't master either job. It's still a very nice thing, but I think it's very niche, which is why I think it has struggled in the market, and hasn't saved Aston as hoped for. Of course, the DBX was also rather late to the party. The new 707 version is a monster, and is even more powerful than the Urus, but I think the Urus still has superior exterior and interior styling, which gives a more special emotional feeling. The last generation Mercedes tech also doesn't help the DBX win over potential buyers.
4L V8 “such a rare thing” VBH? Nearly all it’s rivals also offer one either as std or an option - it is currently the most common engine configuration. Now if Aston had offered it’s V12…
Perhaps she meant it was rare in an Aston?
@@iamtherealzombie except the 4L is also in the other most popular Aston model, the Vantage….
RARE because most manufacturers are offering electric only on new models.
The Ole Man who was a bit of a scamp back in the day, used to put a pipe over door handles like those and break off the handles.

Ironic to see air ducts on either side of the Aston Martin grill, given that the original grill was created to hide the brake cooling ducts without repeating the unfortunate triple-grill appearance of the DB1 BUT they had to go somewhere.

Some of the features this has are really good but, this for me is a very important but as well, it has styling that matches the appeal of the Porsche Pepper. Which to me is horrible. A shame but hey, some people will love it. For me though I'll stick to the grandaddy of 4x4 SUVs(for me), the Range Rover. Clearly there is a market for these baby SUVs but all except the Urus look horrible and the Urus is ugly but in a beautiful Lamborghini way.
Still I did enjoy the video. I look forward to your next installment.

The Magnificent Seven choose their Magnificent 7 Cars across a series. Starting with say Mini size , Convertible, GrandTourer , SuperCar , Coolest Car , Iconic,
Restomod , Hyper Car , Q Car , and GREATEST of them all.
can think of many categories …..but avoid BORING cars and talk of engine sizes 0-60 banned.
my other idea for a car show was 3 girls - you Jodie Kidd and Sabine. So sooooooooo sad and upset she passed away. amazing lady. but an all female car show be cool.

The Mercedes infotainment system is the ONLY thing holding back the current line of Aston Martins. They need to ditch it for something much more 2021.
Engineering is great, they've done a fantastic job pitching it where it needs to be. Alas, it's a Reichman design and his designs just don't find the support in the market Aston need to survive. Aston needs to find a more competent designer and Reichman something else to do.
Even Aston blamed the Vantage for not selling well for their problems! Yet they still let Reichman do the car they bet the farm on...
I'd rather have a go in Vicki than the Aston if you know what I mean.
With that non-existent level of class, a woman like her wouldn't look at you once, let alone twice.
Although she did mention that she liked having a knob 'pop out' to meet her... So one never knows with someone so mischievous! LOL... ;)

Surely 'a' V8 SUV, not 'the' V8 SUV. It's going to have to come up with something a bit special to get anywhere in that market too. What you've highlighted could be said about just about all its rivals, and the RRS SVR and Jaguar F-Pace SVR are considerably cheaper with similar amounts of luxury, practicality and performance.

Unfortunatelly I do not see whe someone would buy the DBX. Is not cheap, there is nothing special about it compare to the competitors. Nice car but I think Ashton Martin is way behind the others. Next stop Ferrari's SUV...
