Toyota's new truck is going to keep this Nissan Titan from becoming extinct. I don't mind that Toyota went to TC 6 cylinder. The more reviews I see on the new Tundra, the more I appreciate this Titan, it appears better built than the Tundra. The 5.6L is just long in the tooth per say but so is the 5.3L in the GM trucks but they still sell like crazy.

Yes they could have put direct injection until the 5 7 they could've been a mild hybrid to it and it would have got more village better gas mileage and been updated they hadn't touched that truck for almost like 14 years that engine on that Toyota it's a beautiful engine at 5 7 but they could have updated it and use that as an option too

I had an 07 nissan titan. I beat it like it owed me money and traded it with 190k miles. Replaced front struts once, one ball joint and at the end of ownership the rear axle seals leaked a bit so every 2 months i needed to add a bit of diff fluid to the rear end. That's it for maintenance other than brakes for the entire life of that truck. I traded because I needed a crew cab for growing family and got a 15 f150 that was new in a really good deal. 100k miles that ford started having massive issues and dumped it for a brand new 2019 ram 2500 with a 6.4 hemi. Currently at 105k miles and this ram is literally falling apart. "Heavy duty" is not how i would describe it. I can't emphasize the issues. Wheel speed sensors, 2 wheel bearings, every ball joint, broken rear sway bat links, 4wd system glitches so it won't go on 4x4 (literally did that 50 times in first 18 months of ownership). I couldn't be more disappointed. I'm definitely going to be getting a titan- the last one i owned was truly the best truck I've ever had- BY A MILLION MILES. Modern and broken down will never be better than old school and running.

Great truck! Acquired the "XD" the better (tow/payload) version, in Alert Red color, Pro4x trim. 2020 and newer only come with gas engine. The XD gets, as a standard, 6.5ft bed with crew cab setup and more ground clearance. If you want value, quality and reliability, this is it. Built in Mississippi with the best warranty in the business! Very comfortable ride quality. I almost put money down on the new tundra but had a hard pass due to no "V8", and learned about this XD version of the titan.Glad I did though. My affordable dream truck. oh and btw, i like that I do not see my truck on the roads, dirt trails often. Regular Titan is the least selling full size truck, selling on average like 1,000-2,000 titans per month. So low production and the "XD" production is even much lower. ✌️

Just like he said in the video. I own a 2021 Pro-4x same options as the one in the video. I beat the heck out of my truck. To say it's riden hard and put away wet is an understatement. My truck is airborne daily!
Got over 30k miles on it and it's the most reliable vehicle I have owned! Way better than my 2015 and 2017 F150 FX4's. Nothing but problems with every freaking Ford and GM vehicle I have owned (and I have owned a lot - usually 1-2 new vehicle every 2-3 years).

@@JonJT4 1,658 is the max payload listed for a Titan Crew Cab. With 4WD, SV trim, and options, it will be less depending on the specific truck. I am a Nissan truck fan, but payload is an issue. It will be better in the SV than the Pro4X, but not as much as I would like. If we buy a midsize, I want around 1,500 lbs of payload. If we buy a 1/2 ton, I want around 1,800 lbs of payload. May still consider the Titan if it is discounted enough to make the price competitive with a highly optioned midsize truck. I am not buying until the end of 2024, so plenty of time to research and window shop.

Ridgeline had better payload! Titan is definitely a great truck and on my list. But I would need the xd for my work.

I’ve had a Titan and Armada, both were excellent mechanically ut the paint on them is notorious for being terrible, hopefully Nissan has improved that

Nissan discontinued this in Canada since the motors were getting replaced in nearly every one. Some owners had 3 motors under warranty. Very much a glass house situation talking about Fords in the video title. You Mericans have no idea sometimes, friendly climate for vehicles compared to the north.

My 2020 RAM 1500 has been in the shop now 2 weeks...a bad transmission and under warranty. I get a free rent a car until they fix it and currently no ETA when local dealer will receive the new transmission. Move over Ford....
