Replaying this game right now just got my emulator setup, this game is a 10/10 one of the first games I played as a child and now I’m replaying it as an adult! This game is just a masterpiece that needs to be remastered along with MML2 and maybe a 3rd one! People have probably been saying this for decades now at this point but I guess we can dream!

I sank so much time into this game when I was a kid growing up. I sucked so bad at the racing to get the upgrade parts.
With the MegaMan Lore now seen, seems that this and Legends 2 are the last of the timeline.
They should have at least done Legends 3 and tie up all the loose ends there. A trilogy would have worked.
@@ASteelWheel It depends for Capcom, right now, they did a MegaMan collab with the dinosaur game.
But honestly, it'll depend on the company if they're capable of MegaMan Legends 3, either they'll use the same low poly style with the latest tech or something else.
But it looks like the first option might work.

I mean, after Mega Man 11, the franchise has gone back to being a bit dormant. The non gatcha version of the X Dive game was the last major project and all they did there was throw in a bunch of characters from the different Mega Man timelines/series and thats not satisfying enough.
@@ASteelWheel Either plans are being made or something big is in development that'll take us by surprise, or something else.

Glad to find a good 4k source to re watch. This game isn't hurt by age because its look is so well crafted. That being said when Megaman Legends in Unreal 4 demo is finished we will get a real good look at what could be if Capcom ever remade the game in hd as an update.

This game was weirdly obsessed with the number 3... which is weird considering the only thing in the series there isn't 3 of is games
I know that the character facial expression is just 2D, but somehow it worked really well and that made the game more lively and enjoyable..
I think this is much better than forcing it to 3d facial like other games did.

So glad I found this. For many years I thought I had some fever dream about playing my first 3D videogame. Even before I got to see SM64, before OOT, I remember renting some game from the video store for a weekend and all I could remember was the opening level where you're in the tunnel/dungeon area and just being blown away how you were able to walk around in a brand new environment, and actually turn corners and there's just new areas to explore. Eventually I thought it was a false memory and I had made it up, I couldn't even read back then so I didn't even know it was Megaman.
Definitely one of the weirdest Megaman games, and I love it so much! I remember looking up how to get the shining laser weapon.

@3:20:44 It's been a long time since I've played this. I remember doing that bit and also I remember having my armor turn pitch black for some reason. Strange that it didn't turn for u. Or maybe it was already there when I entered because at that time I didn't know how to reverse the color. I didn't know this game introduced the favor system where Mega Man's notoriety can increase or decrease.

2:33:47 That Reaverbot boss (Garudoriten) was such a pain in the ass! Imagine surviving that fight with your shield destroyed and barely any health left, AND you have to go back to the entrance whilst avoiding taking too much damage from the Reaverbots that have respawned!
This is truly one of the best games ever, and I now realize that they could've easily made a Pokemon game in this style for the Nintendo 64. They should bring this game back for the Nintendo.
