"If you don't have access to my basement floor, you can use >your< basement floor." Love it! and thanks for the demo for an easy fix! One of my unpowered VacuFlo hoses has been used and stored in my garage. Twenty years of winter to summer temperature fluctuations (and likely a healthy amount of sharp debris being vacuumed over that time), and a few cracks appeared in the hose close to the nozzle end. Completely acceptable wear, IMHO, but am happy to not have to replace it! Cheers from Vermont!
The Chameleon hose end is a little different (3 piece assembly) but same idea. How old is the hose having the issue? The manufacturer did update the design of the inner pieces to hold the hose more securely; I believe that change took place in 2021.
@@Centvac Your note about the 3 piece assembly ended up being what made things click for me - thanks! The hose was coming detached from the handle, and I got the hose last year. When it detached the first time, the hose detached from the whole assembly rather than coming apart in pieces. So when I reassembled it, I just tried screwing it back into the entire assembly. I took the whole assembly apart and was able to thread the hose in and lock it. Thanks a ton!
hahah love the little comments. Thank you for showing me how to do this. I had a pretty good idea but just wanted to be sure. I'm gonna use my warehouse floor protected with cardboard. :)

Does this same method apply to a chameleon hose end that keeps coming off the socked hose?

What glue was that?
Thanks! You just saved me $25. What was the name of the glue you love?
Pliobond! My local Ace Hardware carries it in a small squeeze tube.

Can i have access to your basement floor?
Sure, just be careful not to trip over the 200 vacuums, and turn the lights off when you leave!
