And the glue is Sikaflex 221. And here is link: www.ebay.com/i... FÁCIL. Cómo reparar una manguera rota defectuosa en la aspiradora EASY. How to repair Bad broken Hose in Vacuum Cleaner
You would actually cut the rubber around the wire and just pull it straight out away from there and it will unwind out of the threading inside the plastic fitting, as opposed to digging it out like that with that knife.
Be very careful not to cut yourself when removing the inside sealing ring. This may take some time so be patient........ then throw it away and put silicone in there instead..... what???
Excelent helpful video! I could fix a broken hose of a Karcher vacuum cleaner. Spare part was $$$$ and I fixed it with the magnificent Sika 221, best adhesive ever!!! Thank you so much for this tip!
Good video - got me started. I used a flat screw driver, a tin snips to cut, and silicon caulking to keep it in place. - What I might have done differently would have been this: Cut the tube not at the leak, but closer to the fitting. Then you would screw the broken part of the tube into the fitting. That way the tube would be just a little longer when done.
Such a helpful video. I managed to push out the broken pipe inside the plastic part using a screwdriver to bend my pipe out of shape little by little , your knife story was enough to encourage me to stay safe. Thank you!
Excellent repair Peter. You may decide to ignore the following comment if you decide. The letter “k” in the typical English language word “knife” is silent. I only write this since I for a short time taught English to students whom English was a second language.
Helpful video, but stay safe & use scissors and a flathead screwdriver. The hose unscrews in the opposite direction than you would expect, so does not need digging out with a knife. Also, using that glue will make it really tricky to repeat the repair process if the hose splits again.... thanks for making the video!
That knife is so unsafe to use like that. It's not worth risking an injury.
Good Comment. Thank you!👍😀

If you use that glue like that, you will never repair that hose again afterwards.
Thanks for info. 👍

This work must be done carefully and calmly.
I hate the idea of buying a new vacuum just because the hose broke. Thank you for the video.

You need to spin the hose clockwise to take off using the knife was not the safest way to achieve your result.
👍😃

You can use a flat head screwdriver instead of a knife. Just take your time
This was exactly what I needed
Thank you and have a wonderful day ❤️

That's all good when the hose breaks near an end ..... what do you do if it breaks in the middle..?
Ok, bad thing. You need to replace the whole hose.
