- Save yourself some service fees and change these rear bulbs yourself, it's really easy like I show you here. This should be the same for 2014 - Current (Third Gen)
These are the bulbs you need for the brake and turn signal bulbs (same bulbs)

Can you do a video about the lights on the trunk the dealer is telling me the whole led light needs to be changed not just a bulb inside and the light costs 400 dollars
@@tikoy4533 There was a recall on those on my 2015. The dealer replaced mine free of charge.
@@Craig040 I have a 2018 rdx. Are the bulbs replacable or does the whole assembly need to be replaced

Great tutorial. I need a video on hot to replace the complete housing on the inner tail light left side. My rear bulb is working but the LED lights are out and I guess it’s a complete housing I have to replace but don’t know how. I hope this makes sense

Note: There's a
sharp thing under the lense (housing) that if you pull it wrong slight downward, it will scratch the mdx . Happened to me 😢...so make sure to slide it out correctly.

great DIY much appreciated ... also out of curiosity why didn't you replace them with "LED" bulbs ... i feel like the LED bulbs are much brighter

Do you need to disconnect the negative terminal on the battery if you are replacing the entire taillight housing?

Broke the top clips of the black panel and its no longer flush, probably will have water intrusion from the top now? Is it okay? or should I really hurry to try to obtain the top retainer clip

What about the led lights replacement. The third wire harness. Can you show how to replace those ?
Do you have any suggestions Dave on where to get replacement plastic clips for the back of the cover? I ended up breaking two of them when I re-installed the cover.
Try Acura / Honda they can order them for you. Otherwise you may be able to use the universal clips and modify them.
If you end up breaking more than can clip...the Sensor Assembly panel cost is 319.99
Hey Dave I have a 2020 MDX sh-AWD, lady back into our vehicle at walmarts and cracked the red Lens out the outside tail light. Can you just get the red lense to replace. If not where can you order the cheapest taillight assembly. Thanks Rick

Hi and thanks for your useful video brother just want to make sure should I buy red bulbs or clear bulbs?
clear - since the lens is red.. You only need to by colored bulbs when the lens is clear.

Andrew Lam I have not had to replace them so no video from me yet! I assume you’ll have to remove the tailgate inside panel. There are access doors that may allow you to remove that lens check it out.
The led lights in the back are a huge problem it is under warranty for mine but the dealer says it's a 400 dollar job so I'm worries about it needing to be changed in the future when its not under warranty
