There are some great gems of advice and realisation in John's talk. That's 30 mins very well spent. Thank you Mr Cleese and Sutherland, I know what I need to do now.

Good chat. I've often found myself hiding my creative process as if it's some kind of non-conformist sin, so it's good to hear some of these points as validation. Thank you JC & RS

    Yes
Do NOT Colour OUTSIDE the Lines!!!
Systems fear creative people as they can be most unruly!
I like the sharpness of Mr. Cleese’s thinking.
I’ve listened to Robert Russel on you tube while I fell asleep ( not bored ), woken up clear in my mind with concept from listening while I slept…
Mr.Cleese has talked about the subconscious
a Cavern of ideas not right not wrong just ideas!
    Yes yes yes
    Feelings!!! The “ gut “ …
    I really love this!!!
There is a lot of Love in creativity no space for judgement - and laughter!!!! Anyway-
    Lovely Mr. Cleese
Great in put by the Radio Guy !!!!! Uniformity!!!
    This is so exciting!!!
Certainty like Fundamentalism terrified of uncertainty
Such as Media = FACTS , the sun comes up the sun goes down- earth goes around tides move the moon wanes- seasons come ….. and all up and down sideways in between is
Waiting to be experienced … AWE is a great human phenomenal state of being to feel -

I agree with your ideas on creativity it always annoys me when people say think outside of a box my question is why are people putting themselves in boxes a restriction for creativity! Sidenote I went to school in Tunbridge Wells and I live in California now!

I'm willing to bet that after saying "that's actually a perfect way to end" he started into saying something else again.
    Dude was a bit much.

That's Rory Sutherland for you - he is actually fantastic tho, I really recommend giving some of his talks a watch. Under less compressed circumstances he and Cleese could captivate for hours.
