People really underestimate the dangers of a “simple” campfire and it annoys me. I calmly tell and show people how to keep a campfire in control and how to properly put it out but they respond “fire Hot! Throw plastic and cans in! Breathe! Yay! Throw a fresh aspen in there, stack dry leaves right next to it”. And I get yelled at when trying to fix everything. 😂
That's when maybe ya just get ahold of some hbwr seeds. Extract the lsa. And find a chance to dose them with enough to make them experience ego death or maybe even just straight up become mentally shattered and so they are stuck in a hospital bed forever

We like to use the Bleedingly Obvious for our naming of things: So many creeks named Deadman Creek, so many beaches named Five Mile beach etc, then there's Shark Bay and Big Bend [on a river]. My home town is actually called Townsville. But it's named after a guy named Towns #mighthavebeenaprick.

We have a plant similar to that Frasera albomarginata here on the east coast by the name of the American Columbo. It takes several decades to flower but when it does the flowers look very similar.
Interesting episode... Cold high desert forest--ey type habitat does seem to result in similar adaptations as some of the high andes south america stuff. Dwarf rosaceae trees and mat forming plants. Lower elevation, but higher latitude. Atmosphere is thinner further from the equator, and there is of course winter.
