Creed is a really great VR boxing game and it makes you feel like you are in Rocky's world. Regarding VR harder to make than AR. The thing with AR is that the content has to adapt to your physical space. I'd say _that_ is the harder problem. In VR you have all the data because the universe is virtual, in AR you have to detect and interpret the real world instead. Right now VR is quite useful already, with drawing applications, 3D modelling, data visualization, architectural visualization, pain relief by distraction, eye therapy, military and hazardous training, tele-presence conferencing and in person screen sharing... it's just... quite versatile, if you look around a bit. So far AR is still an app on your phone, a small flat window with objects plastered on top of a video feed. I've placed some virtual IKEA furniture in my apartment, and put a living hamburger on a table, used a virtual measurement tool... It will be quite awesome when we can have the glasses that will gives us on-the-ground directions to places, but that would also mean we need absolute global tracking and seamless mapping... it's a big problem to solve, but I bet it's being worked on feverently. Here VR is again easier, more straight forward, and already in a viable headset form.

It's been out for months.. And yeah, a few hours playing in VR, every couple days or so, does reach 100 after a few months. I'm in my 30s, and I work as a personal assistant, and I end up with a lot of free time.. Was there any purpose to making an assumption like that?
AR won't be special for anything aside from computing. VR at a high enough resolution could fake most of that, especially with mixed reality. And we can stop acting like 3d wasn't cool. It was just early tech held back because of the eye strain.

Eg joint capsule stretches and rotator cuff exercises vs yoga/pilates movements vs jumping technique for athletic sports such as basketball and volleyball

It would disappear in a instant of random gibberish that millions of other people are trying to get him to read or hundreds of spammers that flood the comments with the same comments like "suck my balls". This is why you'll never see legit famous people do live streams.
i believe the holographic red hydrogen feature will be huge, imagine ur phone is on the tabep flat, but your are looking at the side of the phone you will be able to absorb media or see notifications w out looking at ur phone flat on
I watched this cartoon one time where these people got stuck in a videogame and couldn't get out and they'd die and shit if they died in the game, can't remember the name. But, it would be dope for that to come true without the getting stuck in the game.

Joe, after seeing this episode i happen to buy a Steam VR game called "Drunken Bar Fight" and one of the guys (in the bar) comes at me yelling, "I learned this move from Joe Rogan!!!" which i thought was kinda funny considering you're into VR a little. Of course there was no "move" it was just something to add a little spice to the game.

@@Ruuubick Yes, exactly. I just meant the whole experience so far isn't nearly as good as it could be. Even the basic Playstation VR headset produces breathtaking effects. I wore one for the first time a few weeks ago and was taken back by the amount of depth perception. I am just bummed that someone hasn't made anything better for this. No real fpses that arent totally assisted, no MMOs... I mean we can finally do a .Hack VR MMO and we somehow just havent.
The problem is that no big developer wants to take the risk of making a game for VR when very few people actually own VR headsets. It's a huge risk and there's essentially no way to make your money back, so what we're left with is a bunch of hobbyists making games in their bedrooms who don't have the resources to do anything other than small minigames. It's a catch 22, nobody wants to invest in VR development until the market is there but nobody wants to buy a VR headset until there are more full games.
@@ES315 I can't wait until they become cheaper. Hopefully they remain interesting until then and this isn't all just a fad. I want to think that it's here to stay. Until then, they could have more games that don't require the headset, but completely change the experience with one, like an MMO or an FPS. This way, anyone could get on, but it wouldn't be fair, and it's pretty expected that any good engaging game in VR would be way different and slower on a controller.
