What a great day … and pleasure helping out. Mya and Aladino are the same in real life. Easiest beers I’ve ever earned, and really enjoyed swapping navy & sea stories! That was a perfect day!
You guys are the kind of people others love to help. Hard working, genuine people. Congratulations on the flawless installation, and job well done, Tim
All those years, all the HOURS, all the planning and nerves comes down to one moment in time that is very satisfying! You dad is the best! Great having a marine engineer on site! Never drink beer before 12 noon. But it's always 12 somewhere!!
Another major operation progressing well, no small feat lowering the engine in to such a tight hatch, Aledino’s impeccable planning saving the woodwork with the sacrificial lining. Soon to be back afloat where she belongs.
Honestly, when I see both of you work, I am truly awed by how little snags you encounter. This is a clear example of the careful planning and the knowledge that both of you have constantly demonstrated. A joy to watch.
I wonder how many thousand hearts were in their mouths for 15 minutes. Wonderful piece of filming, captured the intensity of the moment perfectly. We love you guys.
Congratulations All! Wow, how exciting, and spiff everything looks in the engine bay. I have LOVED this journey and so applaud your years of effort. Spectacular results. Harry here from Toronto is IMPRESSED!
That was so smooth and damage free. Now you have the measurements for an engine bed extension whenever you need to procure one in the future. The crane on a truck is a great idea, an lovely to get some help from a follower.
Great music choice for the engine lowering, I was waiting for the Dark Knight to arrive!!! Congratulations on a massive milestone for Magic Carpet II. Well done you guys!!!!!!!!!
Nicely done. It was amusing for me to hear your comments Maya as the engine was being removed from the seacan, the energy and concern in your voice was just like my wife when I am doing mechanical things and she is helping or watching. She too is artistically talented and capable in many ways, but not as adept or comfortable with mechanical tasks, was funny to hear your reactions as it was like I was there and hearing my wife as I do things that make her mildly uncomfortable or concerned.
What a thrill...! I relived sensations I felt 40 years ago when I installed the engine on the sailboat I had built (she was a 1/4 ton of 26' and the engine much smaller, but the tremors in the knees I think the same... Great job guys. Thanks for sharing 🙏
I watched this knowing I have to do the same thing with my engine soon so my anxiety levels were pretty high in sympathy! Well done guys your preparation definitely paid off.
I love sailing but i also love the sound of a solid diesel engine starting up when the wind drops and the ocean is confused . It will get you there when you really need it . great video again thx !
Absolute class. One of, if not your best episode. Your video production skills are wonderful Mia (sorry if I spell your name incorrectly), and especially your excellent choice of music in this episode. Great great work.
One of my favorites! I enjoyed this video for the accomplishment, how very well planned and thought out it was, for the nervous energy, the smiles, the good people involved, and that we are one step closer to splashing her. Congrats!!!!
What a fabulous paint job on that engine. Way better than the one that came on the new Beta which was retro-fitted into my Bristol 45.5. My guess is that was an extra. Looks great and will run great. Betas are an excellent yacht engine.
Great job! One of these days I gotta do the same, but in reverse. Hopefully the rusty old thing looks half as good as yours when it goes back into the boat...
25,616th view about to roll out... looky-loo tag-along, here we go... Attn. Maya - possible future tune title 5:38 - "It's A Little Fiddly". And I post a LIKE at 19:40 - "Beer O'Clock". "Cheers!" for this episode's successful ending.
How exciting to see 'big red' in place ready to slide in. Regarding the fitting of the coupling, did you put some tallo or something similar on the shaft/coupling fit area to make it easier to push on?. This may help. Cheers Ian

I was nervous but it was a thrilling episode to watch! Thank you for sharing! It is so wonderful to see you getting close to splashing again.
Aladino goes from baritone to tenor when he’s excited 🙂🎶🙂
A great video and a great effort in planning and executing the operation of getting the engine into the boat ❤❤👍👍🇳🇿
We, that was exciting and nerve wracking and so smooth. What a great milestone.
Lovelly short shaft!
That was soooooooooo satisfying to watch! What a superb confluence of cranemanship, masterful dimensioning, and 3d logic.
Outrageous! One major step out of the way and that much closer to completion. Great job guys (and girl)
I watched this knowing I have to do the same thing with my engine soon so my anxiety levels were pretty high in sympathy! Well done guys your preparation definitely paid off.
