I was pleasantly surprised to find out about the method to eliminate the yurei. I've been playing Insanity which has 1 evidence and so now, if I can confirm that the ghost is in its room, I'll smudge it and set a 90 second timer with salt in the exits to the room. If ghost leaves the room outside of an event then it's not a yurei
I only struggle with this, because smudge increase ghost event, and ghost event means the ghost can randomly walk from some random spot including glitched just out the room door, into you, giving you false negative with salt. I can get slightly better results standing in the room and ignoring ghost events while using motion sensors, but it's still a hard maybe evidence. The dots thing is great tech, if it worked in no evidence, or if Yurei even had forced evidence.
The most detailed explanation of a ghost ability I have ever seen, with precise maps and info. Thanks to Meik, and Easy for making this guide possible. I hope Kinetic Games realizes soon that there are a sizeable count of players who would like to have the mechanics clear and consistent for their challenge runs, and not just focus on 3/4x muliitplier players!
We could have so many more rooms working for Yurei if Kinetic just enables these China Cabinet doors or the doors of the kitchen cupboards and link all the doors properly to the rooms it connects to. And all of that for any door, so we don't need to think "Can a Yurei slam the 3rd toilet stall door on the left side in the Prison toilet?". Also, I think it's really weird that the trapping the ghost wish closes the fire place doors/cabinet doors. Like WTF, Kinetic...
That's part of the testing we did. Example, if you're standing in the Living Room of Tanglewood, or the ghost is there, when wishing for the trap, nothing happens. Reason: Doors not linked!
no glaze but ur channel is by far the most informational and underrated by far. the amount of effort you put into visuals and stuff is genuinely so helpful as a player returning to the game from before the prestige overhaul 🙇♀️
Very extensive science was done on this, proving the best and most accurate information comes from Meik! The elevator music makes me think I am browsing for things to buy 🤣
Why is it even programmed that way in the first place, why does it matter if the Yurei's ghost room has a door or why do they have to be linked to a specific room? Why can't it just use its ability on any door he is standing nearby?
I'm guessing whomever did the hospital wing and Willow was like Lavender, or Dk, and everything else was CJ. 😂😭 He reminds me of a grown child that the adults bully to do their work for them so they can take time off. CJ, improperly do all these doors so I don't have to sit here for hours doing it properly!
I know pretty much everything about this game.. I'm not gonna memorize every door a Yurei can interact with on every map because Kinetic won't fix this broken mess of a ghost.
That's the thing! Aside from the double touch which is a minor thing, the Yurei is fine - the problem are the doors themselves. They're the reason the Yurei cannot do its ability in some rooms.
Honestly I would’ve never minded the Yurei if the Goryo didn’t exist. It’s always a pain in the ass when the ghost doesn’t change rooms and you have to guess if it’s a Goryo or shy Yurei. Just give the Yurei fixes to its abilities or some new ability, because I honestly never want to waste a smudge for Yurei testing, since it allows myself and other players to stay alive for hunts
Depends on circumstances and availability of hiding spots. In tanglewood my least favorite ghost room is the master bedroom because it's the farthest from both the kitchen island looping spot and the nightstand in the nursery which is available as an unofficial hiding spot
edit: read the question wrong. Most dangerous ROOM is anything with no hiding, I don't think I'm able to narrow it down to one singular room as there are many "bad" ones.
Regarding 'place of death', in addition to meaning the ghost (journal re: Yurei) and the bone's room (ouija board) it can also refer to the favourite room (journal re: Goryo). Not a very helpful term when used like that XD
Same with the Spirit "defending their place of death" and Oni "guarding their place of death". It's really unfortunate how new players are treated this way.
Where can I find all these maps and such? Ive always been curious what counts as a room and if some rooms are connected and whatnot and these maps seem very helpful
I like this ghost tbh. It's fun trying to rule out the yurei from door touches or motion senses but the player needing to touch a door in order for it to be considered open is so stupid.
But is this only for yurei ability or also for the interaction with the door? Cause when its for the interaction too, you can use this for your advantage, as you know in which room the ghost has to be when he touches the door and the door is only linked to one room.
You're talking about a normal interaction on the door, right? That's an interesting thought; I'm assuming it's just distance based, but it's definitely something we can test.
@@BigMeik yep, the normal interaction with the door. Like when we take tanglewood's boy bedroom door, if any ghost can do a normal touch on it only when he is in the boy room and not in the foyer or main bathroom.
Hate to tell the new player but almost everything in the ghost book is totally BS. It also says that Wraiths have no feet cuz they float. Also says that whenever a Obake changes it leaves behind special evidence which is also untrue, this "ability " is the 6 finger mark which has a random RNG of popping up and an obake has a 75% chance to NOT leave any UV.
If you have any questions, I'll gladly answer them here or LIVE Mondays to Fridays: www.twitch.tv/meik

wait i thought the double door touch was a feature? thats like the coolest thing about the yueri lol
This game is so complex yet you make things so easy to understand, all the while being the amazing guy you are! Thank you Meik! 💙
This is absolutely insane! Thank you so much for the explanation, Mike
Id like to see how wishing to trap the ghost with the monkey paw works with this door issue
That's part of the testing we did. Example, if you're standing in the Living Room of Tanglewood, or the ghost is there, when wishing for the trap, nothing happens. Reason: Doors not linked!
@ that is crazy
I hope the devs can fix this issue
Amazing Yurei Science, very extensive and detailed. Thank you Meik for the information, this helps a lot!
Great yurei video! So much info for no-evidence and maps are super helpful, thank you both!

Isn't it a little ironic that their name is YouJustWanyEasy but is making complicated things easy for the community 😂

It's not elevator music, the first song is from The Sims and the second one is from Digimon World :p

thank you for this Yurei info, I found out that it is my most common ghost too!
I'm guessing whomever did the hospital wing and Willow was like Lavender, or Dk, and everything else was CJ. 😂😭

Interesting theory, but isn't Willow literally CJ's first map?

In that regard, the Banshee is unable to change its room as well, but the stalking makes it super easy to identify at least.
Yurei is love KEKW. As always Ty for the infos and wish u the best
Very cool tidbit with the laundry room at the end.
What would you say is the most dangerous ghost room in the game?

For the life of me I cannot hear the difference between the single and double door touch😥
you are not the only one, same here 😅
As someone who does a lot of no evidence, I'll try that smudging trick!
Forgot that was a thing!
I think its hilarious you use the wooden footstep sound for a censor.
Regarding 'place of death', in addition to meaning the ghost (journal re: Yurei) and the bone's room (ouija board) it can also refer to the favourite room (journal re: Goryo). Not a very helpful term when used like that XD

Unfortunately I can’t provide evidence, but I’ve had both a Banshee and Twins fully close a door outside of an event
In that case I have to assume it was a multiplayer lobby.
@ it was, but we were both next to each other when it happened
You would think like the laundry room they would do it in morgue aswell at sunny meadows
The Morgue works, too! I forgot to point them out in the video, but they are marked on the map.
Where can I find all these maps and such? Ive always been curious what counts as a room and if some rooms are connected and whatnot and these maps seem very helpful
As mentioned in the video, those maps are available in my Discord server. discord.gg/meik
Please do one of these for the mare if there is another way to rule it out cuz the only thing we got is the rare light switch ability
I know you can try multiple light switches and multiple people per 10 seconds. There's probably a range cap, I just kinda use "whatever's nearby".
Most meme ghost in the entire game. Loved the deep dive. Such a nonsensical ability, but it's a fun one.
I like this ghost tbh. It's fun trying to rule out the yurei from door touches or motion senses but the player needing to touch a door in order for it to be considered open is so stupid.
Most satisfying ghost to correctly identify on no evidence imo.
Not anymore! Soon after I made that video, they fixed this issue. Any open door is now correctly considered open, no need to touch anymore.
@@BigMeik oh that's sick

Definitely is!! lol
I love Yurei when they do what they need to do, I hate yurei when they don't 😀
In all your hours playing, have you ever seen a prison cell door yurei ability?
Yes, plenty of times. But it's been a while since, I must say.
mare video when owo

Why are talking about bathroom stall doors but not closet doors aren't they labeled as the same thing in the coding of the game?
Good point, actually. Closet doors should be considered too, I don't see why not.
