I have a 85 700. After having the Honda 500 and 750 this bike sets low and comfy. I have changed the rear wheel from the 16 inch to the Verago 15 inch. Only took swapping the shaft as well. She is a rebuild and slightly bobber mix and rides sweet. Of course i live on a island in Southeast Alaska so not the riding i had in Cocoa Beach Florida.
The most important part the actual race... And you filmed the track... 😂
I"ve got a 700 CC ( 1985 U.S. version),incredible how this machine still looks and feels,best bike ever made
I love my 86 maxim 700. So smooth and comfortable. Never had any problems.

So who won the race?
The person taking the video could take a course on how to shoot a video.

just saying, my 650 xj blew a Kz1 Kawasaki off the line, that bike should have taken the Honda off the line at least
I had a 1981 XJ650 midnight Maxim Yamaha that would outrun a 1981 Kawasaki LTD 750 on top end. The XJ650 with a fast bike in its day!

No way did that stone fly from that bike 80 yards away and almost hit your camera dead on
How hard is it to film the bikes lol
The sound alone made it great!!!

What did the maxim do 1/4 time

Kieran Linsdell idk but the video from when the green light went on to the time light it was like 14-15 seconds lol
I have an 83 xj750 maxim and it think it would top out before a 1/4 mile haha shits so slow but man it's comfy and loud as hell
