I had a lump in my throat reading this 🥺 I suffered over a period of about 5 years with ever increasing severe Anxiety amongst other issues caused by the Menopause which made me think I was losing my mind. For me it driving my car and riding my motorbike, to the point I almost gave up completely. I thankfully found out the cause and with some medical help I got my life back. I am so glad Mrs O got the help she needed. Bravo for getting back out there 👌, unfortunately nothing will ever cure my fear of heights 😂 but can enjoy your videos instead. Thank you for raising awareness, it all helps 🎉
Fantastic video guys , actually quite an emotional video. Sat and watched it with my good Lady who also has things going on due to menopause stuff. Beautiful soundtrack and obviously the footage. Ye just great 👍 👌 Good luck to Lisa on the journey and for getting someone who understands first and is then in a position to help ❤
Hi Steve, thanks, that was a really nice message to read. Yeah the M’s put everyone affected through a bit of a tough time. The key is talking and honesty…
Well done both of you and especially to Mrs O, as I have said before, the love you have for each other shines through on your fabulous videos, this one even more so. Thanks for taking us along on your journey.
Excellent video Anxiety and the menopause is a very underestimated issue and we need to raise more recognition and awareness of it ( I know my wife has been very ill but we’re finally getting through it) so well done to you both especially Mrs O the video was excellent ❤
Hi Andrew, it’s tough for the ladies but can be equally tough for the guys, as you’ll be aware. Once recognised though it’s manageable and does get better. Makes you stronger as a couple in the end. 🙏😊🔆
lovely film, what would bother me would be finding the route. it was very very sad to hear yesterday that a father and young son , from our county lost their lives in Glen Coe.God bless them and family and friends. We know what it's like to loose a friend in the Scottish mountains, eleven years ago. it doesn't put us off though, wonderful areas. Hoping to be back in July, may see you both one day.
🙏🙏🙏 .. its sad when this happens but at least it makes us all respect the hills a little more when something happens to people we know. Take care V. 😊❤️🙏
Wow! I just found your channel! What an amazing video!! Love it!! Congrats! I had fear for you. I'm on the same path with the menopause with others challenges. But everyday, I have to accept it, and I know very soon, I will be back on track.
Well done guys. You two have a great relationship, that's clear to see from your videos. Glad you're working through this together. You're an inspiration Mrs O x
Wow! Epic guys, loved it but have to admit, my palms were sweating. Although I love to hike, im terrified of ledges and exposure. Well done Lisa and to you too Dave for understanding. I too am going through the menopause, its no fun. We have been in Glencoe this week, the weather was glorious. We did the Pap, the views were amazing. 😍❤xx
Hey Dawn, a superb and very enjoyable route. It’s definitely no fun but thankfully not permanent, just feels that way. Take care and stay positive! 🤗 🙏😊
Hi Guys, just catching up. Well done for getting this message out there. Menopause is a topic we have been discussing at work recently. We have been given the opportunity to learn more and understand the impacts it has on women and those around them. I have a much better understanding. Like most men, I thought it was just bad moods or tears over nothing. The reality actually scared me a little and made me realise just how difficult this transition is, as there's no rule book to get you through it. Lisa, well done for doing this route, you are a star. I'm not sure it is within my fear of height capabilities. Dave, keep supporting MrsO and try going back for the camera once in a while 😁
Hi Graham, it’s a very confusing time for all involved. I wished I’d known a little more about it, would have made a huge difference. Hahah.. getting the camera keeps her fit! lol 😂
Thanks for sharing your experience with us, Mrs O your a star. My wife went through a similar experience on the path alongside the grey mares tail near Moffat. She ended up having butterflies in her stomach for months and eventually had to take medication. Thankfully all is okay now.
I have a friend who, with his wife, is a hardcore trail runner. She is perimenopausel, and swears by a plant based diet. Says the change is unbelievable. Maybe a thought..... Anyway, been watching your vids all afternoon as I`m in Glencoe for the first time in 10 days. Theyre a massive help
Hi Tommy, thank you for the diet tips. Anything that helps is always welcome. Glad you are enjoying the videos. Nice to hear they are helping. Hope you get some good conditions. 😊🙏👍
Beautiful. Stunning scenery and a powerful message. A truly wonderful , loving and supportive partnership. Well done Lisa. ... well done both of you ❤💪 👏👏
Hi Lisa, Hi Dave. Beautiful video, and well done Lisa, fantastic effort. All the very best to you both for a long and happy future on and off the mountains. Take care Dave ❤⛰🥾🏴
Thank you for talking about this! It's something all woman will go through and yet it's still barely discussed. And thank you for making it not just 'a women's issue'. What a wonderful partnership you guys have. 😍xx
Hi Alice, helping to make guys aware is equally important, helps stop the snowball effect! When things get rough it needs one of us to put the breaks on to stop the issue of the day getting out of hand. Thank you for watching. 😊🔆🙏❤️
That’s a tough climb in itself, but it must’ve felt like you hiked it twice setting up all those shots. The end result, as always with your videos, is a joy to watch😍 And thank you, especially Mrs O, for highlighting an often hidden difficulty 🙏❤
Thank you Clive. We’ve learned to see the shot, take it the move on, but yeah filming gets the steps up! 😝 As a guy this was very hidden, until it attacked us. Would definitely have helped if I’d known more, earlier. 👍
We've always known that Lisa is a super hero. Watch her scramble up those zig-zags and descend the ridge from Ben Starav. Love seeing her make you sweat Dave. 💪💪💪
Thanks for your honesty and willingness to highlight an issue all to often hidden or avoided. Lovely to see a couple raise awareness together, hopefully this will encourage more of us to talk about these things. What an amazing adventure together and such beautiful scenery
Hi Becky, hidden indeed. Misunderstood by most guys and avoided by many ladies, tough to accept challenging times for most. Recognition of the menopause is the big thing I think, for both lads and ladies. Acceptance and talking has been the turning point for us…. and a little help from the professionals. Often needs a third party to help get ourselves back on track. Take care L&D 😊🙏🔆
Your adventures are always inspiring to watch and your videos so well filmed and edited. The title of this one stood out and it’s brilliant to share the impact that the menopause can have on 50% of us and how it can make usual tasks difficult without love and understanding. Well done to MrsO and long may your Scottish adventures continue and help inspire us to get out and enjoy life to the fullest!
First of all, what a superb route. Beautifully filmed and edited with the perfect soundtrack 👏Dave, I know how difficult it is when your partner starts the menopause. For me it was like living with an unpredictable monster which could turn on you in a moment. Getting help initially was traumatic as Mrs T's male GP simply told her to 'buck up'! She eventually found an approachable, knowledgeable and understanding female doctor who has helped us both through the past twenty years. I wish you both well as you navigate the future together and yes, it really does get better. ❤💪💪
Hi Ian, I can identify with everything you’ve said above. I good point is the GP support, it has to be the right fit. We eventually got the right person who was lovely and exactly what Lisa needed. 😊🔆
Absolute stunning video as yours always are ,I’d just like to say that my wife is going through the menopause for that year it’s tough at times and can be challenging we get through it with our outdoor adventures lovely music too it’s an inspiring video highlighting Mrs O struggle so I take my hat off to you my wife saw this video with me and it’s was emotional so thankyou for sharing that it’s amazing 🤩 🙏✊👏👏👏👏👏
Class video guys, great watch... a route I done a few years ago and after watching this I need to go back 👌🏔🏴
Hey buddy, thank you for watching. It’s one of those routes that will be a regular on our list too. 😁🙏👍
Greetings and love , from the Red Squirrel Campsite, Glencoe x
Hiya Liam, thank you. 😊🔆🙏 Love the Red Squirrel 🐿️ campsite! Brilliant. 😊🤟
