    Always love the history videos, minis look great as well. Glad the rocket survived, I’m not sure if you use it, but super glue with activator is a must for me, it may have helped.

    Great Martin! Your ability to use the poses of the miniatures to tell a story is second to none. Glad to hear you're having 😮some Black, Red & Green (The finest colours ever seen!!) In your British Army, as I know of your deep affection for the Rifle Brigade👍

    They turned out really good Martin. I reckon you could paint on the ships ribbons. Try putting the hms then the first letter of the ship and squiggle for the rest of it. It gives the illusion of the correct letters.
    A non related question, i really like your mat you have under your figures I am after a really large mat to become my main surface as i have a new paint table. Can you remember where you got it. I also really like the stand sizes graphic too.

    Lovely group Marten, bravo. I think you were right to add some color wherever you could and who knows, considering the crazed for adventure attitude of these chaps, seems like there'd be plenty of gingers in the crowd. It's hard to say from the video but compared to the illustrations you put up in the history section, that blue seems a bit on the bright side but you may have other sources than those in the video. I applaud the way you formatted the video with a history section to proceed the hobbying portion. It was a brilliant example of why historic gaming is so facinating. I was wondering if the British expression " . . . a real Corker . . ." could stem from the example of this brave young midshipman ?

    • @7thson726
      @7thson726  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you I'm really pleased you like them 👍 the blue is lighter than alot of the sources but those sources often don't take into account the bleaching and weathering from the sun. Also, I prefer to "lift" (as my friend Shaun would say) the colour of the figures so they stand out more on the table, adding additional highlights etc otherwise I would find them a bit drab 😁

    Great video. As always I loved the variable model count on each base, it creates a very organic looking scene. Beautifully illustrated history as well.
    The only thing I could recommend is thinking about doing a Mexican-American War set of armies. Would love to see your take on the 28mm's. Kindly research 1st Corps line of miniatures. There's also 15/18mm lines as well. But I can't see your art on minis that small.

    i am building a 28mm small british army of the Zulu war. How many figures should i have per company? So its to scale?

    • @7thson726
      @7thson726  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So, from my understanding the British army was changing quite a bit at this point. Usually each battalion had eight companies of roughly 100 men inc officers however these were often under strength.
      I have between 18-24 men in my units of British Infantry so roughly 4:1. However I prefer more dynamic and scenic diorama type basing so someone else may fit more in neat lines and files.
      Hope that helps
