I have a 96 6.5 factory 1/2 ton. It's driving me nuts. It's in perfect shape but bout ready to junk it. I'm 70 and can't do the work any longer. Good job on your truck.
That rattling in the front could be harmonic balance. I had that same issue. It has rubber in it I'm sure you probably already know. That's for the info on the blocks something I use now
Very well could be brother, haven't taken the time honestly to look and further into it unfortunately, been incredibly busy and even more unfortunate I never turned the manual wastegate when I took the turbo off my crew cab and I blue the head gaskets the other day as well as i also believe the timing chain is stretched quite a bit. A project for another day hahaha
Good to see you back. You sure are a very Busy young man. Glad to see you got the 2500 running man that turbo sure did have a lot of play in it. I was wondering if you could give me some advice. I am putting a raptor 4G 100 on my truck with a pre-filter before the pump. So I guess my question is how am I going to get all of the air out of all of these no lines that I’m putting on and should I fill that fuel filter would clean diesel to help it? Just thought I’d see what your thoughts were on the project of mine thank you so much Jesse.
Blew a head gasket what's the best head gasket to be a daily driver an get the most boost out of it ,was gonna do copper but just found out they are good for a race truck down the strip,but not a daily driver they will leak over time with all the boost so??
Hey for $75 give or take on ebay you can get new oem style composite headlights and turnsignals! That would be awesome on the wife's dually, since it already has fresh paint

Did you check the harmonic balancer? Check the rubber on the back side for cracks (specifically a radial crack that goes all the way around), and on the front side if the bolts are hitting the webs of the pulley (you'll know immediately what I mean when you look at the front of it). If the balancer is bad, it should be replaced immediately as a failed balancer can lead to a broken crankshaft! All that extra "rattling" up front makes me suspicious about the balancer.
Hi mate you have that 2 Silverado with a 4doors long boxe I love that caind of models 👌👍👍 a reason I love my 95suburban this L6.5TD DETROIT engine it's a inmortal engine never dies 😀 my have over 600.000kms but I don't understand what happened because he starts loose power and makes smoke and uses much more fuel than the normal time's 🤔🙄 maybe the damm turbo needs to replaced!! because also have oíl in turbine from air filter!!🤔😏 all the intake have oíl everywhere 🙄😳😏🤔🤔 any suggestions?!! thanks mate 👍 cheers from North of Norway 🇳🇴 👍

Take 5 to check the balancer cause if it goes your motor is done for

Jesse, my S&B intake keeps my hood from closing. The insulation hits the clear cover. My hood is about 1/4" up. Any suggestions
