Dann Huff went on to be an award winning producer in Country music winning several CMAs. Too bad he did not continue as lead singer in bands like Giant. I always thought he had a spectacular voice for rock music. Excellent guiter player as well. Worked with many musicians as a session player
So is his brother David. And talking about underrated (as do most of the comments here), Mike Brignardello is just plain solid on the bass. He is spot on in his timing which causes many to overlook him. Only when the bass and drums conflict do most notice a bassist.
It always astonishes me when I hear Giant and Dan Huff that these guys weren’t a huge arena rock success. Great lead singer, great hooks, and Huff is a peer of Van Halen and Lukather when it comes to trademark guitar playing.
They just came along too late. If they had come out 2 years earlier I think they would have been huge. I still play the 3 Dann Huff Giant records all the time. I miss his voice. Great singer.

Dann Huff is amazing, he is the true essence of a musician manifested; he runs the studio like a Mozart; plays all instruments, sings, writes, mix, records, produces...you name it!
Dann Huff is a monster guitar player and has played as a session player with tons of huge artists in multiple genres. He's played with Michael Jackson, Chicago, Keith Urban, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Michael Bolton, Amy Grant, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny G, Tim McGraw, Smokey Robinson, Trisha Yearwood, Paula Abdul, and several others!

AOR music is timeless. It may not be as mainstream as it was in the 80s and early 90s, but there are still bands continuing the tradition of awesomeness! As for these classics, they all deserve to be household names.

1992 is my favorite year for music; I was hipped to a bunch of stuff I wouldn’t have otherwise heard because there was a local station that played every pop single that came out.
This band should have been massive with all of this talent and with Terry Thomas's production and catchy tunes god I miss music like this so bad giant wherever you are we miss your music so much come back fans like myself and others here listening to music here In 2021 will come and see you in concert in a heartbeat
If the music industry had rewarded talent and sound over glam rock, back in the day, these guys would have made it to the top. Their sound is amazing! But unfortunately the music industry favored glam over sound. I was fortunate to hear GIANT open for Heart in 1990 in Columbia, MD. They were awesome!
How did they pass through London without the recognition they deserved??? They would have shaken the Hammy 'O right up the Thames!!! Exceptional band which still sound good today. That is the testament of a quality act. God bless 'em!
Dann preferred to stay under the radar so to speak and work as a studio musician. He's played on so many other popular artists albums, including laying down the solo for Whitesnake's radio edit of Here I Go Again. I think he still spends his time as a studio musician and guitar instructer these days. Great band and they're all top notch musicians.
I think that another reason they didn't gain popularity is because these guys didn't fit into the whole "drugs, sex and rock 'n' roll" scene. Dann and David had previously played in a popular Christian band known as WhiteHeart. They desired to "cross-over" to mainstream, but some in the industry may not have liked their clean-cut side, even though their musicianship clearly shows.
@@richardwheeler3768 Not sure thats true considering how popular Stryper were. Simple fact is, by 1989 bands of this type were being signed left right and centre by record labels and many great bands got swamped by all the others, and by the time the second album came out it was in the middle of the grunge rise and was way too late to the party. Incredibly talented band and some fantastic material, but the same could be said of god knows how many bands that came out in that 1989 to 1991 period.

So underrated indeed! all there music is awesome!! 🎧🎶😎😍
I agreed on you ..he conveys love and passion when singing ir is crystal clear...!!!!!
Dann Huff: unbelievable voice and guitar chops and songwriting skills
He's right there with John Sykes as the best guitarist/vocalist combo ever. So much talent.
And a top notch producer.

A very prolific session player too, some guitars from Michael Jackson's Bad album included (man in the mirror for examle)

Here it's October 2024 and I'm just realizing how damn much I love this band!!!🤔👀🙃

Hey little girl, you say things have changed
But I say they're just part of love's growing pains

So won't you stay till the end, forget about the past
I'll never let you down, I'll always be around baby
I'll never leave you lonely, crying for love
Oh you still got time, still got time to change your mind
Don't let it fall, fall apart, baby, search your heart
So won't you stay till the end, don't walk away tonight
I won't give you up, I'm gonna stand here and fight
Won't you stay till the end, forget about the past
Cause I know our love will last
And won't you stay till the end, I need you here tonight
