The People’s Republic of China had already won women’s singles table tennis gold before the match had begun with two teammates winning a place in the final at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, but the eventual winner was Chen Meng. She beat her teammate Yingsha Sun on the score of (9-11, 11-6, 11-4, 5-11, 11-4, 11-9).
The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Summer Games took place in Japan, from July 23, 2021 to August 8, 2021.

I've been watching table tennis matches all my life, and this commentary is by far the best ever. He is very knowledgeable, offering a lot of details about the players/coaches/history, and he conveys sensation in a professional manner. Just listening to his commentary is a feast.

Adam Bobrow is the goat commentator and one of the most wholesome and entertaining human beings on earth, let alone a table tennis enthusiast

@@NicKYKmic Adam B is also an excellent table tennis player himself and he understands not only the game but also different cultures relating to TT immensely, thus offering an unsurpassed commentary.
Chen Meng is at the best of her career, her technique is incredibly perfect, also very strong. Although Sun Yingsha has the ultimate offensive power, she cannot break Chen Meng’s defenses and losed in the stalemate.
This usually happens when senior player fight against younger player. The younger is stronger in power and speed hence offensive, but the senior makes less mistakes.
Adam Bobrow is a fantastic commentator. His knowledge and passion for the game are infectious and are giving so much to table tennis. I also encourage anyone to watch his own table tennis you tube channel as he is a rather funny character! Grazie Adam! Gaetano

It's great to see Chen Meng reaching her potential. About 7- 8 years ago or so, I saw Chen Meng the first time and she was playing so well and was showing great talents at the level of the very top Chinese players. It was inevitably she would reach the top echelon shortly. However somehow for a while, she was hanging around the number 8-9 in the world, way behind Ding Ning and Liu Shiwen. Then all of a sudden she reached the top and refuse to leave.
Although she is still a long way to reach the level of Deng Yaping, Yang Yining and Wang Nan, Chen Meng is obviously joining the legend group of great table tennis players.
This just shows how dominant China is in table tennis. Woman singles got first and second seed met in the finals; men singles also did the same. Awesome!

You may check their Olympics and other games' record but it can't be denied that that China is one of the best team in badminton. Further, if you said so means that you underestimate Chinese table tennis team, none of the country's sport team is strong enough to raise a wolf raising plan for foreign player to get trained in China.
I don't usually watch table tennis much but the commentary is so fun and engaging that I think I'll stay here a while. We need commentary like this in every sport 👏
And the clearly well-researched pronunciation of Chinese names and words! So happy to hear the 'e' vowel pronounced properly especially 💕 (other sport commentary I watch, even ones where Chinese athletes are prominent, don't seem to care much for learning how to pronounce names)
Agree. I haven't heard any table tennis commentator doing so great on commenting as this guy. He's obviously a great bridge to connect this sports to the Western part and the rest of the world.
